Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't. |

Yes, definitely instead of ensnare, Supernova is Code S and recently crushed everyone in the FXO tournament with bad latency, including 2-0 Select, Ensnare and Loner, only losing 2 set in the entire double elimination tournament. (once was to a 6 pool from Zenio) I would not choose him over boxer, but that is less to do with skills and more to do Boxer being Fucking BOXER! His problem is probally just that his sucess is too fresh. They probally already have the names set for a while. Didnt they say they would tell the players if they were accepted or rejected before announcing them to the public? Agreed, but Supernova seems like a really exciting player. He is improving very quickly, his TvT was so bad during GSL and very medicore during GSTL. But now he is beating top terran like select, ensnare and to a lesser extent Loner. I'm really excited to see him in the next GSL. Also, how can you not like a player who says his favorite player is Jinro?

The players have been selected a while ago so if you read anyone talking about how X player should be in because of something he did recently they are just being dumb.

Ah. Yeah, I wasn't sure if they'd actually applied or not. Really hoping for MorroW, DeMusliM and Minigun in particular. DeMusliM's hand might be an issue right now though.

Give me boxer, or give me death.

Guess what, for every Korean accepted a foreigner is pushed out. If you're going to sit here and complain that someone from the foreign scene didn't get in just remember that the other person you want in sooo badly, a Korean, most likely bumped that person for his spot.

his is all speculation but i can't help but think that some people were chosen purely for entertainment/ hype value... trying to create storylines for the first tournament...
Nothing quiet like some pre-planned drama.

In a situation right now where some players I would have loved to see will not be accepted; MC, Nada, Boxer, July, Morrow, Thorzain, Dimaga and a few more. All who have shown results (which was said to be the main criteria for invites).
At the same time we have Incontrol more or less invited himself, he has not showed results at Starcraft 2 lately whatsoever and his past achievements consists of a few MLG runs. In my eyes it's really up to him to prove himself as a top US player (which he right now is far from being) at MLG this weekend.

Did the TSL applications not get accepted? Or is last group going to be all korean? No morrow and demuslim?

Probally 4 koreans and morrow. Demuslim may not be ready for this season, because of his arm.

Pre-planned drama and accepting players for the stories they may create (Grubby and Moon same group, Idra and Zenio in another) are things that make me sick. I would hate for the esport scene to get too "americanized" where it's all drama and back stories and less and less focus on actual content, an example would be the poker scene where public "pros" are choose for their character and "interesting background" not their skill/knowledge. To quote Idra: sc2 is not a dating show. The whole inviting system is flawed from the start, if you want the "world's best players" like the intro said, you make qualifiers like TSL, all tournaments should look at TSL and learn - they know how to hype, create amazing content, let the games themselfs create stories etc etc etc.

I think that Incontrol is a great player even though he doesnt have any big results to brag about. But he is way to cooky for a guy that hasn´nt won anything and that makes me sad. IMHO MC has deserved to be cooky but not Incontrol yet...

you mean only 50 people can be invited?!?! breaking news. dont phrase what you write as if its WHITE GUYZ VS ASIANS. we're just gonna get back to the borderline racism of the other threads.
most people just want their favourite players in, why does it matter where their from? why do you have to take the conversation in that direction?

If they are going for
1. Results 2. Results 3. Results 4. Popularity
Shouldn't there be a lot more koreans?
When I look at this list I see
1. Variety 2. Variety 3. Popularity 4. Results
Just my opinion.
