[NASL] Players (final) - Page 126
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

Im sure the MAJORITY of the viewers dont care whether they're relateable. if we want to see relateable players, we would go to the neighborhood LAN or watch craftcup featuring our IRL friends. I want to see a league that has games featuring players of TSL quality everyday, not just on a weekend basis. that was what this league was supposed to give but it seems like they'd prefer players like Incontrol/vibe/dde over koreans and even players like Minigun that literally has no RTS background but is really fucking amazing and has placed very high in tournaments and EVEN won a tournament with most players from this league will not get a spot http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/ROOT_Gaming_Success_Pays_Invitational if u want any background Info. sadly pains me to see Minigun here even rooting for the Koreans. if i was him, i'd be pissed. Unless the NASL somehow extended the spots, he wont be in it even when he is more accomplished than Half of that player pool and guess what, HE is young talent and improves every fucking day. he won a goddamn tournament featuring the best players in NA and he doesnt get in. What is an accomplishment? oh wait Fruitdealer with his GSL win isnt an accomplishment either at this rate. and its funny, people calling out Catz for lack of success too. HE WON a tournament. Really that should be a fucking Guideline to get into this league. Winning a tournament, more than what most of this player pool like DDE/Vibe/ etc has done. so dont give me that BS about catz not getting in. He is popular, creative, fun to watch and has had success. What the FcuKfukckf I think dde has won more online tournaments than everyone on the list... :D

Tyler - IdrA Grubby - Moon (zomg wc3) HayprO - Naniwa Along with plenty others. The lesser known players (who are still solid in their own right) should provide for enough upsets and craziness to keep viewers on their toes too. You excited? I'm excited

Stuff like this makes the community look bad. back up your statement maybe? all i said was that it just feels that the accomplishment guideline for choosing players got flushed down the toilet. there are too many good players left out and i would be fine if every player in the league was at top calibre and people were left out that way but it isn't that way sadly. the minigun stuff was mainly just an example. tournament wins and how they place in big tournaments should be the main guideline for choosing players and it isn't so far and im just backing up catz's criticism for being in the league. he has placed well in several Respectable tourneys like the TSl qualifiers and won the Justin TV invitational featuring an enormous pool of talent.

I'd love to hear someone try to refute that Latency. And latency whining. There's enough people going on about how lag is ruining some of the TSL matches. Just having that question up in the air -- not knowing how much of a role lag played in an important match -- takes away from the excitement and enjoyment of the games. BTW, MoMaN is underrated by people who think he just got in because of his video. He's a strong player. Incontrol is underrated by his haters and overrated by his fans IMO. Don't know anything about how those other names you mentioned play. But just because someone is in GSL doesn't mean they're better than all non-GSL players.

Sure it sucks if your favourite foreigner didn't get in; but that isn't because a KOREAN took his spot; it's because the other fifty players - Korean or not - was selected.. Don't start a ridiculous flame war :/ /facepalm Apparently my comment went over the heads of everyone who bothered to respond to it. Rereading it it does seem foolish to say Koreans are the ones bumping people when in reality it could be anyone. I was just thinking that since it's the NASL it would make sense that Koreans are bumping smaller named foreigners.

People in the western hemisphere have brains too, and don't need to just blindly copy builds to get by. It'd be really nice to see people actually wanting to make esports a reality outside of korea, but the way a lot of people think is really discouraging and depressing. Koreans are not invincible! -YET- why do I say YET? its simple, they are pulling ahead, not far ahead, just ahead. Because of events like GSL they can train a lot and have reachable goals that make it worth while for them to commit to the game. No one seems to complain that there isn't enough forgeiners in GSL, However, everyone likes complain and cry to make sure that Koreans are invited to events like TSL or NASL (NORTH AMERICAN STARLEAGUE). I am not saying koreans should be just excluded from all international events, but the truth is, the only way to make esports successful is to create a competitive enviroment, where I am scared of playing KiWiKaKi not MC. Need our own 'stars' our own prizes and our own incentives on this side of the world. Need to create an enviroment where people aren't looking to move to korea, but instead move to this side of the map, like IdrA did. There should be events like this one or WCG or many others where there are opportunities for people all over the world to face each other, but we need to create some sort of separation as an incentive to "foreigners" to train and improve in a similar enviroment as they have setup in korea. You reading this are a 'foreigner'...but why are you the 'foreigner', is your brain less capable of producing quality strategy, are your hands too fat and slow by nature's default? ffs lets stop being the foreigners.
