[NASL] Players (final) - Page 128
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

Yeah, it's possible that they could have gone higher in terms of korean representation, but it's a pretty good place to start. Especially when you consider that half of koreas pros are not participating and that NASL might be a second priority behind GSL for some participants. For comparison, TSL is 7 of 32 korean invites, or 21.8%. Sure, they could have just invited all of GSL Code S, but this way, we got cool foreigner-vs-korea stories, bigname foreigner-vs-bigname forerigner stories, and opportunities for relative sc2 no-names to prove themselves (thorzain, mondragon). It provided something different from the GSL while still being very good. We have a group of 50 players with TONS of huge names, super-healthy representation from NA and EU, and a solid korean contingent. It is not a PERFECT list, but it is a damn fine list. I'm looking forward to some great games.

Anyways, hoping they will deliver, not fail like they did with Showmatch

And we need something big to train and aim for in the west that is what matters... And yet, the only way to do that is to have tournaments where foreigners compete with koreans. If you keep them apart, what would make people stop saying koreans are better? The only way to prove that's wrong is to keep showing respectable results on tournaments. I understand what he means but I really don't understand how separating both worlds would do anything to help his cause. He also doesn't say anything about how almost every player who goes to korea says his experience improves his ability and about team houses, that still don't really exist over here. Saying its only because there is a GSL and ignoring all the influence BW had in korea is oversimplifying things. Plus, the whole "north american" tournament is just unreasonable.

Skipping Morrow, Dimaga, Boxer, Nada and Mondragon is not a wise choice :/ Anyways, hoping they will deliver, not fail like they did with Showmatch You people need to learn to read and stop bringing up Dimaga since it's been well stated why he isn't in. Also Boxer has already basically been said to be in and Mondragon has played 2 games in tournaments in sc2? Yeah that totally means he deserves to be in, also you don't know whether Morrow and Nada will be in when the last 5 names tomorrow are listed or not

My guess about MC, NesTea, SuperNova is that they want to focus on the GSL and didn't apply to the NASL. I am excited to see who the last 5 are. BoxeR? NaDa? MKP? My guess would be BoxeR and maybe another IM and SlayerS member. Looking sweet anyway! Most of oGs applied with VODS. Including MC, can't possibly see him not getting invited after all hi9s accomplishments and his personality in interviews lol.

Presence of Dimaga will definitely increase views in post-Soviet countries for sure, since I am from there myself ![]() Mondragon is a legend from BW and I am pretty sure it will make BW players to watch SC2 tournament ![]() I am just saying that ViBe, MoMan, dde, Stalife and painuser have nothing to offer, but no beef, good luck to those players. And about catz' statement. Its somewhat true but claiming to have Best of Best is ignorant. If you wanna be best, compete with the best, who are absent from this list.

You don't know who PainUser is. 3rd @ MLG Dallas, 1st at Green Forest LAN - he's probably more accomplished than a lot of foreigners. And actually, saying "its not a big deal to just let him in" - actually it is. Someone who can't follow simple directions and get an application process probably also won't do a good job of, showing up on time every single week for his matches, etc. There's a lot more that goes on behind the scenes than being good at the game.

Someone who can't follow simple directions and get an application process probably also won't do a good job of, showing up on time every single week for his matches, etc. Is Dimage well known for this? I'm not sure I'm genuinely asking. He has been around long enough that we shouldn't base our understanding of his character off of an application, it's not like he's an unknown player who is a giant questionmark. If Dimaga has had no problems with being late for a match in the past and then you try to justify his exclusion because his late application implies he will be late for matches, I find that an extremely weak arguement given he is an established played with a tournament history. Again, if he is known for this outside of this one slip up I understand, if not the argument needs more substance.
