[NASL] Players (final) - Page 129

Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied.

Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

The player pool is looking pretty awesome; don't know why people can't focus more on who is there rather than who missed out.. It is going to be a great tournament!

I feel like NASL is not going to pick Code S players, so MC and Nada are unlikely imo. Boxer is probable I would say, and maybe some guys like Slayers_Min and Slayers_Cella.

Seems like NASL has been holding up the big names for the final announcements. Very much looking forward to the final five. Overall it is very fair distribution of players when you look at it at nation by nation basis. People need to stop getting off by hating on the NASL. They are willing to pump a ton of money into the scene, yet all they get so far is a bunch of people hoping them to fail every which way possible. What's wrong with these people? Have they forgot what's the common goal between all of us: a successful esports scene in the West?
Thank God and gunrun.

This is pretty sad for me, only 20 players of 45 are actually from North America ... and that is including Artosis and IdrA who are in korea currently.

I was really hoping to see a North American starleague.

Is there any way for me to compete in this? I want to be apart of this.

too much hate in this thread. people need to pay attention to how awesome this event will be and how lucky we are that people are spending hundreds of hours trying to organize this so that it will be epic. unfortunately, people enjoy complaining about which players are invited and which ones are not.

to all the people saying vibe, dde, stalife etc shouldnt be invited, why do you think this? just recently in the TSL some fairly unknown players took out supposedly the "best of the best". i think all the players announced so far are awesome picks and i cant wait for this to begin

go artosis!

Pretty stoked to see the last round of announced players. only one I'm really holding out for is July Zerg but I'll be watching either way. I've also given up all hope that ppgBubbles is going to get in but when you have that many people trying to get into a 50 person tournament there's obviously going to be a lot of people left out.

p.s. To everyone complaining about missing Koreans, make sure they actually applied before you complain they didn't get an invite. Too man people complaining about Koreans not being on the list that didn't apply in the first place.

EDIT: Bahahahaha at "RoieTRS"s post above me. Waaaaaayyyyyy too late to the part on that one bub.

I would be extremely surprised if they miss out Demuslim and Morrow, two huge names in the Euro scene.

I would be somewhat surprised if they miss out Minigun, who has been making waves in the US scene.

Besides at least 2 of those 3, the rest should be Koreans, of which I would like to see the best of the best of who applied. MC, SuperNoVa and maybe Clide (to add the IdrA pain in Group 5)

the question would be more like, why do you think artosis was invited

I know he's an awesome caster etc. etc.

but as a player thus far... he has achieved much less than many other players who have applied, I would think this wasn't a popularity contest, but it seems I was wrong

There is an open tournament for the last few spots in the main non-league part of the tournament iirc. Maybe you should read up on how it works before complaining, and furthermore maybe you should actually make a name for yourself before complaining about invite-only tournaments.

There's a qualifier tournament for the final spot in the ro16 and the top 4 all get in to the next season or something like that. So not too late at all.

Koreans who applied and aren't invited yet:

Top, TheWinD, SuperNoVa, NaDa, MC, InCa, Cezzane, Bomber, July, Virus, Fruitdealer, Trickster, Clide, Lyn, Soccer, Boxer, Min, Cella, Frozen

Some other players who have applied and aren't invited yet:

Strifecro, Demuslim, Nightend, Xlord, SaSe, Thorzain, Mondragon, Morrow

Not inviting Demuslim/Morrow would be ridiculous, so I guess the final 5 will be Morrow, Demuslium, Nada, MC, Boxer

Then again not inviting Strifecro would be weird since he is better or at least as good as vibe/catz/Machine...So yeah no matter who gets the final 5 spots, there will be players out who have better tournament results than some of the players who are in.

IF the NASL would actually explain their picks like the TSL did, it would help. And yeah it's a great event and I'm looking forward to see it, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with all ther decisions, does it?

Xeris already said they would explain it when all the names have been announced earlier in this thread I think.

Right, I'm aware of the qualifier but the invites are obviously already decided because the application process is closed. Seems like the dude in question was wanting to get into the initial 50 invitations. Perhaps I should not have been so quick to mock but it was just funny to me that he was wanting to get into this very prestigious tournament that high level players have been denied entry to because of late applications when they are almost completely finished announcing the invites lol.

Latency. And latency whining. There's enough people going on about how lag is ruining some of the TSL matches. Just having that question up in the air -- not knowing how much of a role lag played in an important match -- takes away from the excitement and enjoyment of the games.

BTW, MoMaN is underrated by people who think he just got in because of his video. He's a strong player. Incontrol is underrated by his haters and overrated by his fans IMO. Don't know anything about how those other names you mentioned play. But just because someone is in GSL doesn't mean they're better than all non-GSL players.

No, but it is a very very good indicator. I'd give a GSL player favored odds against a non-GSL player all day.

Because...?

Latency is also a lame cop-out.

It's not a "cop out", I supported it with perfectly valid reasoning. You did nothing to address my arguments.

I bet MC and July could beat any of the names I listed above 90%+ of the time, regardless of latency from KR-NA (if it was KR-EU it might be a different story).

We aren't just talking about MC and July. You listed a bunch of players who are code A and below. And regardless, "I bet" isn't an argument.
