Just wondering though if you could put back the link to the Alpha build document, which contained all the useful info for the current version (at least until all doc is updated for beta)? I guess I should have bookmarked it earlier...

I'm trying to find a reason for this, and I don't see why the new change is better as of yet. (I spent 20 minuites poking through the forum and didnt' find anything... so I thought I'd post asking about it?) All I found is info about why the free cams were moved etc.... (Which is great to know)

Lets say you're starting to spread creep in two different directions at once, and you've got two queens. Here's what you'll do: Lay down your first tumor with a queen. Press Ctrl+O to set your camera over the new tumor. Lay down your second tumor with your other queen. Press ctrl+K to set your camera over the tumor. (do other stuff until its time to spread more creep) Hold down CTRL the entire time, and shift your fingers over to be on JIOP: Press J. This brings you to your first tumor(s). Click on it. (selects all tumors since you're holding ctrl) Press and hold I. Click and spread your tumors. Select your queen Add a new tumor Adjust your camera to be over these new tumors. Press I. This re-sets your first camera. Press P. This takes you to the second creep lane. Click the tumor(s). Press and hold I. Click and spread your tumors. Select your queen Add a new tumor. Adjust your camera over the new tumors Press K (do this as you shift your hand back to your home keys KOP{). This re-sets your second camera. And that's the cycle. You went to your first location, spread/made your tumors, reset your cam, went to your second location, spread/made tumors, and reset the cam. You hit JIOPIK with your fingers and ended up back on the homerow ready to do other stuff. Because of how you need to hold ctrl down every time you egg-hotkey new units, it's very smooth to go from making units to spreading creep. You might find it saves time to do your creep spreading immediately after you add your new eggs into their proper control groups. You can still use the cams for whatever you want- you just need to remember that setting them is on ctrl+O and K while the cams themselves are on ctrl+J and P. It's a little weird and unintuitive at first, but you get used to it fairly quickly. If you plan on using one cam for creep and the other cam for something else, I would suggest you use J as your creep cam and P as your secondary cam. thank you so much for this!

Here is a link to my first match against a human (and a highly skilled one, at that) using TheCore: http://drop.sc/327580 I'd only played like 3 games vs very easy AI before facing Sunlily. The game was the most epic LOL game I've ever played. Enjoy!

So warping in units is Control+Alt+Shift+F5 ... are you kidding me? ;D This must be a bug. At least, I hope so. Same goes for "Jump to last alert". It also has a very cryptic hotkey. There seem to be bugs still.

The reason these keys are made nearly impossible to press is that both the "warpin" function and the "last alert" function are crazy terrible (well I'm not a Protoss but I can vouch for the second one, and trust JaKaTaK for the first one). Instead of the warpin hotkey you are encouraged to use control groups that contain your production buildings. As for the "last alert" button, I'm really not sure how people manage to play using that thing. It's really unreliable, as you might hear an alert you want to jump to and then suddenly your camera is on a marine that just got made .2 seconds before. Use pretty much any other camera method, such as double tapping a control group and setting camera locations.

Thanks, but the FAQ does not explain the reasoning behind this decision. I'm really tempted to rebind the Warp In key, however, I wonder what its disadvantages are.

Just want to say that using CTRL for next subgroup works great for me, someone on this forum suggested it before. I don't know if there's any disadvantages?

2) = is a more efficient key than ] according to the data doc. Your hand may be such that ] is better. Feel free to change stuff around. Concerning hatches and cameras, TheCore is designed with the layered inject in mind. If you would like hatches on separate hotkeys, again feel free to move stuff around ![]() 3) there are only spreadsheets for the the medium sized US layouts right now. Our next project concerning spreadsheets is to create small and large versions. If anyone is interested in making sheets for other keyboards, please let us know. 4) my pinkie felt strained at the beginning too, but once it became stronger and more dexterous, it felt and feels great.

If you find you are over using it, make sure to refer to the suggested finger use chart, it should be hitting the "j" key a lot but not having to move. And it most definitely is something you just have to get used to. After years of playing FPS games and using it for sprint / crouch and then subsequently a grid setup where I spammed q, it came naturally to me. Its a trained muscle group like any other.

Efficiency! I used to have ] for infestors because it felt the easiest to press of all the command groups! Also, the cameras don't align now with the CGS for example.... I used to hotkey - to hatch 1 and my next 2 hatches two keys to the left and the camera keys overlapped nicely. Now this synergy is gone \ broken. I will say as a Terran, having cancel convenient is really handy (I love it on ] now) for if I accidentally over queue up units or need to cancel construction. Not sure about other races though. I do agree with you that I find ] easier to hit than = ( ] I just swing up with my thumb and = is a bit of a reach with my index finger that I'm not quite used to finding without looking yet).
