I don't have additional mouse buttons, so what would I remap the subgroup cycling to?

I think those are just mouse wheel buttons? Your mouse doesn't have a wheel?

These are mouse4 and mouse5, I have only mouse3 (pressing of the scroll button). I have put it on mouse3 for the time being and may consider putting it on mouse scroll, but I was just looking for advice here.

Is the guide and documentation on version6 complete?
or should you use vers5 one?

i want to introduce it to a friend.. so might aswell use the newest one right?

Please update the first post with small information / decision help about what you should use. All the links and and recommendations on websites I should look for are a bit confusing.

I'm using mine on mouse scroll (had to map my scroll up and down to keys) - works out nicely except that I can't scroll through replays, play history, etc. and need to drag with the mouse.

Hi, love the hotkey layout, very cool!

I'm just getting some behaviour that I find to be quite strange, hopefully I explain this clearly: with the standard TheCore hotkey layout, playing any race, when you construct any building for which the hotkey is NOT "M" or "J", pressing the hotkey a second time constructs the building without needing a mouse click.

Some Terran examples:
- Pressing "J" (basic building), "[" (barracks) will prepare a barracks for construction and then pressing "[" again will construct it.
- Pressing ";" (alt basic building), "J" will prepare a bunker for construction and then pressing "J" again will NOT construct it. Same behaviour occurs using the primary basic build hotkey.

Questions:
Is this standard behaviour? If so, why?
Is it somehow configurable to be consistent for all buildings? I'd prefer to have the mouse click as the only way to construct buildings.

Thanks for the effort gone into creating and maintaining this!

It happens because Rapid Fire is set to be active on almost all keys. Basically, they used the method that Jakatak explains in this video:


Any key that you don't want Rapid Fire on (i.e. exhibit the behaviour you describe) should NOT be bound as an alternate for "Choose ability or AI target".

Hey everyone, I don't know where else to write/put this, but I hope this is a good place for it. So basically I have just started using TheCore6 and very quickly realized that coop doesn't really like that... So I made a copy just for coop and added all the unbound hotkeys in a somewhat fitting manner(no clue about how good/bad they fit). I am using a german layout on the right side of the keyboard and wanted to share the file incase anyone doesn't want to bother with the hotkeys and also is using the german right side layout, click on the URL and download it. I really do recommend using the layout you probably already use seperatly, and switch between them when playing the corresponding game mode(Starcraft likes to mess up the hotkeys otherwise). There are some unbound buttons in the file I made, but you should just leave them as they are, it's all good(I think).
