Just wanted to say this:

GMarshal, respect for not giving up and fighting it out till the end even with the odds heavily stacked against you.

Mafia had the opportunity to lynch Palmar, Rean or Cthaza using Barundar's extra vote. Had they killed Cthaza, his ability would have killed Karshe as well, though they didn't know that. However, instead of getting Jackal's help they let him get lynched instead ultimately costing them the game.

This was a pickle. We met on IRC, and I argued for killing Palmar with Jackal, and go into a shoot off end game, where we would rely on Jackal to win, but I would put our winning a chance to 50 % at best. I still think it was our best shot, but GM and DropBear however wanted to play on, so we went with majority decision + I was getting busy in RL so suited me fine to die

Setup wise I think you can never let mafia KP=town KP in a game as large as this from the beginning. Would need at least 2 night KP, possible three, depending on the strength of the mafia roles. We lost the game because town had twice our KP in the end game.

After I saw GMarshall was a mole I realized why you wouldn't vote with me. I never had any intentions of shooting GMarshall. I was going to shoot redFF for agreeing with me that I suck at mafia.
Fucking smilies.

And thanks again Decon and BB. This was by far the most fun I've ever had in a game.

The voteswitch would have lead to a draw, because it would have ousted the whole mafia team and made us depend on jackal. In the end jackal would have chosen who would have won the game, town or scum. And I'd rather take a long shot than 50/50 odds of jackal deciding that we won.

Sorry if it cost us the game, but I was hesitant to decide the game on a coin flip. ^_^

GG all, well played GMarshal.

One thing I wasn't sure about when I casted my final vote.

First it was 4 on GM, 2 on Steff. I voted for GM.
Then before I had to leave, I switched off of GM, 3 on GM and 3 on Steff.

I made GM and Steff reach 3 votes at the same time. Why was GM considered first to reach 3 votes?

Jackal, this was the role I originally concived for you, but I deemed it too OP

Welcome to PTP Mafia, you are the High Inquisitor. You are here to purge the unclean, kill the heretic and burn the mutant. You have the following abilities.

1.) Agent of the Inquisition. Every night you may place a player under surveillance and watch who visits him at night. You'll also sniff out signs of heresy so you'll be informed if he is a evil heretic or a mutant.

2.) Emperor's Justice. You have your holy inquisitorial bolter, loaded with a single blessed bolt shell, which you can use to execute a traitor. Just type ##Execute: Player name to do so. You must include a spiel about how he is a moral threat to the safety of the imperium in the post you execute someone.

3.) Favors from on hight. You have access to some favors thanks to your high ranking connections, once per game instead you may contact the Caudillius Assassins and order them to assassinate someone at night, just PM me who you want killed, and barring special protection they will die. Also once per game you may call upon the Adeptus Arbites to investigate someone, returning their full role PM, but not their alignment. Any night you call in a favor you may not place someone under surveillance.

Additional notes:
1.) You have a post restriction, as often as you can you must proclaim your fanatical love of the emperor, as well as proclaiming how suspicious you are of the heresy and mutation that surround us. Phrases such as "the taint of chaos infects this town, I can smell it, like a rot eating away at a carcass" or "In the name of the Emperor, lynch this heretic" are appropriate to your role.

2.) In addition to whatever alignment based winconditions you may have, you must kill the three heretics, which will be randomly determined by the host. You will be informed of the identities of one of each of these heretics each night (so night 1, 2 and 3 to get a full list). There is also a mutant in town, which you must also slay. You must find him on your own, although he will be informed that he is the mutant and must kill you to win.

I thought that the additional win-conditions would be a bitch to deal with + I hesitated to add more KP to what was going to be an already kp saturated game.

I just checked the vote thread again, still confused.

When I woke up this morning, Steff was the first to reach 3 votes, and GMarshal had 3 votes.

Then I changed my vote to GMarshal. Gmarshal had 4 votes, Steff had 2 votes.

Then I changed my vote again, GMarshal and Steff both had 3 votes.

Was GMarshal lynched since he had gotten up to 4 votes at one point? Again, I made both players reach 3 votes at the same time.

I was considered to have majority first as I had 4 votes then 3 while steff had 2 and then 3. So I gained majority when I had four, and never lost it, since no one had more votes than me.

Thats how I envision it at least.

Oh, this was tnkted's original pick

Original Message From tnkted:
Ok. Palmer is the zombie. He is bulletproof (bullets go right through him!) and he has the ability to bite somebody every night. The people that he bites turn into 'infected' and they gain the ability to participate in a mason circle with all zombies. They are not bulletproof, nor do they have the ability to bite other people; they retain their roles, they are just in a mason circle.

If the zombie bites a mafia member, the mafia member is able to fight it off by calling his buddies and is not infected. However, he is informed who the zombie was.

The zombie will bite anybody who visits him at night, but if he is visited his choice for who to bite is nullified since he used his bite on his visitor. When he bites a visitor, he nullifies their action, ie, if the bus driver tries to bus the zombie the bus driver is infected and the person he busses the zombie with stays where they are.

Palmer needs to insert the phrase 'brains' somewhere in a post, once every day/night cycle. Failure to do so will cause you, the host, to insert clues in the day/night post hinting as to the existance of a zombie.

The zombie shows up as black to alignment checks. infected players turn up as 'infected green' to alignment checks.

If the zombie is mafia, everyone that he infects can win with mafia.

the infected, if they are protected by a medic, are 'cured' and removed from the mason circle. The zombie is informed that he has lost an infected person.

Now that would have been a kick ass role.

Palmar, GM was fighting dirty too lol. I changed my vote because he was so worked up over the game, it wasn't worth it for me to vote for him. Clearly this fell straight into his plan, and I shouldn't have changed my vote... but I felt bad for him lol.

You played well too Palmar, despite what others may say. I wouldn't envy being the only townie with a KP left with a bunch of "veterans" heckling you.

GM, I just noticed that your true role did not include the Miller portion.

So I take it you got lucky with redFF's interrogation and were able to lie about your role? Very lucky, haha.

GG guys..

Thanks for setting up the game decon and BB.

I have to say I am not a fan of % based action roles as it introduces a larger amount of luck factor. When I protected Rean on N3 and N4, I was so scared that I might kill him by chance due to the % factor and screw the game for town.
