I feel like the entire juggernaut rework thing is Riot thinking of cool things to give underplayed champions (which is good), giving them said cool things (again, good) but then nerfing every other part of the champion's kit so heavily they end up worse off.
Maybe this is Riot's way of maintaining C O M P E T I V E I N T E G R I T Y since gutting unplayed champions won't really affect playoffs or worlds even if you do give them interesting mechanics.

So Morde is basically a melee/AP/hue style version of the Urgot anti-carry thing? That seems alright even if it rarely pops up. Doesn't seem like they changed Morde's ability to mid/top much either so that seems ok.
Darius was always pretty boring to fight against and this doesn't really change any of that. He's less mobile but more of a murderytankball? And basically the same thing for garen now, too?
Fiora looks neat. New items seem neat. MR changes seem alright.
I get that they wanted to do a pass on AP and armour items first because those two stats have the best diversity in their itemization to begin with (maybe HP actually idk) but this just feels like nerfs and half-assing. They're trying to push Randuins into the anti-ADC niche while taking Thornmail out of it which just seems like a change that isn't really better at all so it's a weird one to do.
HUD changes seem good but I guess I'll see how the colours work in game.

his Q isn't AoE and his W does 0 damage if you are solo, also his E base damage was significantly reduced, so he really can't mid at all anymore, possibly top but I don't see why it would be any better than now.

I can't get over how fucked and gimmicky the skarner changes are.
Either your team wins hard and force every objective and therfore his passive is awesome... otherwise it's just a straight nerf because he had all that stuff in his kit before and now it's gone unless you have a spire. So any game that it even or you're losing you just hard suck, basically? Who would face check into skarner with a spire up?
He's so reliant on his lane towers and dominating vision control.
Honestly all they needed to do was remove the self root on his E and I likely would be a skarner main. These changes are just... wow. This requires so much fudging by a skarner player and his team it just don't make sense.

Yeah I gotta say, as TLs official Riot apologist, when I read the Skarner changes even I was like WTF.
But I mean, that probably means he will be totally OP and none of us get it.

To be honest I thought everyone would be excited they were giving Skarner an objective control niche. Objective control isn't my thing though and hasn't been since I forgot what dragons 2-4 give you. Something about minions moving faster or something?

The Old HUD mod no longer works

Basically all the juggernaught changes muddy things up. It's hard enough to learn all the champs in this game and how they work, but at least being able to sort them into tanks, mages and assassins tells you most of the important bits. But if crystal spires suddenly start appearing for some reason and the enemy botlaner hits 6 first no matter what and the allin you won really easily last time fucks you because his ulti suddenly hit like a true damage train, that's just annoying and obscure, at least from a spectator or new player standpoint.

Yeah, but that's been the case for all Mobas. New players get stomped because they lack the game knowledge that can only be built from an unhealthy amount of time spent on the game.

Well. Skarner getting 150 bonus movespeed at dragon and Baron could be pretibigdeal

Wow the experimental azir eq combo stuff is pretty cool. Now C O M P E T I T I V E I N T E G R I T Y can be upheld in solo q where west coast gets stupid advantage by avenue of where they live

I'm not sure why they're thinking about nerfing movement speed on 4 champions that don't have dashes to about as low as you can get for not being an ADC. I guess Skarner gets some weird gimmick to offset that, maybe? The spires thing sounds realllly dumb, they'll change hands constantly and unless you're standing on it or recently captured it, there's no way to hold onto it aside from sitting there to deter them.
Daruis sounds like he'll potentially do a truck load of bleed damage in team fights, except his q has a windup now, and how on earth is he ever going to get 5 stacks when his base attack speed and attack speed growth got crushed? I guess he'll be a lot harder to kill since he heals himself constantly.

The heal sounds great at first blush but when you read it closely it's only on blade hits of his Q so it might be hard to get it in reality.
thats sorta the rub here, not only did they put a cast time on Q, but they made hitting people with the blade portion paramount to actually getting stuff done, as the hilt does not provide a heal nor does it apply the passive, not to mention they also nerfed % of damage from the hilt ON TOP OF already cutting 200 damage from rank 5 Q.
he sounds cool but the closer you read it the more I think Q needs a middle ground for this to work

I realized that, thematically, it's almost like Skarner's rebuilding his homeworld on Summoner's Rift. Slowly but surely, the world will be remade as his own.
That's kinda neat.
No idea what the changes will be like though. Should be interesting to experiment with at least.

Alright, I was asked to make PBE threads again, so take the discussion there. Kay?

I really wish there was a scale for the teammate icons holy shit so hard to see.

I just want teammate icons back on the left. Also the old stats display back.

the sad part is, skarner is in a good spot right now and has a fun little niche. Love playing him when the other team picks a devourer jungler, because you can just go devourer and farm faster then anyone except shyvana and you win 1v1 with any jungler easily on even footing. Sated, ice born and full tank and he does great dmg, good pick if opponent is melee heavy.
