You could wait until wave hits your turret or even near your turret since she literally cannot harass you then

In mid if you do not last hit at all and if the other guy only last hits, the wave will not move towards your turret (significantly, obviously it will move a bit)until 4-5 waves depending on minion rng. Are you really suggesting giving up 20+ farm, not to mention sometimes you might miss the ranged minion exp?

I also will likely be down for some IHs tonight between yoloqueue. Can give perspective on Fiora vs. some of the less mobile mids (Vik, Annie, Zyra)
edit: I would also love to see Shikyo play her - I only ever see her once in a while, but the ones that do play her often do well (likely because of people just losing because they aren't as familiar with her)

Fiora doesn't really care that much about AA harass from mids. Champions flash red when they try to auto you so you get easy Ripostes.

Annie in particular has such a slow projectile that you'd probably be able to reactively riposte.
But I think annie can cheese the lane really, really fucking hard with certain playstyles and skill builds.

Anyone who thinks that conventional old school mages like Malz, Brand, or Anivia can beat Fiora in lane have obviously never played that match up.
I don't even think that Fiora is a good champion but I used to play her a ton and there are so many old mid lane match ups where Fiora hard counters.

Annie can work but you still have to play safe. If you die pre-6 the lane is over. If Annie survives until 6 without getting behind you can actually kill Fiora if she misplays or doesn't buy Hexdrinker. Granted, I don't think anyone buys Hexdrinker on Fiora anymore.

Cheese not necessary. Molten armor + cloth gives enough early defense to not worry TOO much.
@Zdras: In lane I was fine. It was when I was trying to be fancy and make plays that I messed up with diving too much. Still trying to get my finesse back after my hiatus =P

It's a much more difficult matchup than Jax is. Her worst matchup by far.
You start 31 armor runes and cloth armor, rush ninja tabi with homeguard and go heal in between every few waves while farming. Do never ever try to trade with him.

Annie counters harder because her E fucks fiora up so hard... she ults you and annie's E does 150 damage while negating some of fiora's damage... one time i had 2 items on an annie after wrecking top, go mid ulti and just die stupidly fast. Annie just a super hard counter because of the E

It helps as much as rushing Seeker's against Zed. Just a little but they can still kill you.
Annie is a hard match up though if she sits on stun.
