How does the Jax VS Riven match up go assuming there are no ganks?

I'd think it's a skill match up.

Its Reddit, so it really just doesn't matter what you do.

I think its a good change. Of course number of wins doesn't correlate directly with skill level but its not like there is no relationship there at all. More wins means more experience and a mediocre player (someone who wins about 50% of their games, like me) with 100 wins has far less experience than a mediocre player with 1000 wins but I'm pretty sure their Elo will be about the same (at least according to the normal Elo calculator thingy). With the huge player base LoL now enjoys why not take into account more variables in matchmaking to try and make better matches? Stomps aren't really fun for either side.

Riven utterly destroys Jax it aint even funny

I don't think the matchmaking change will affect too much. If you have 50 wins but high normals elo, the matchmaker will look for people with a high normals elo and low wins, find no one, then say "screw it" after a minute of looking and just give you someone with 500+ wins.
It will probably be good for ranked games in the ~1200 range so that people with <10 wins and whose elo hasn't settled down yet will continue to get matched with others with few wins instead of being thrown into games with people with >500 wins right away.

My last game was a win, sadness is it was a few minutes after 8 so I couldn't play another. Patch night yay!

Uh? Couldn't Jax just go tabi/chainvest and send a big "fuck you" to Riven with his base damage and ult active? Sure he'll get bullied a lot pre-6, but I can't picture Riven winning after that.

riven can do the same thing she can go tabi + 2 d-blade, have her ult on a 10s cooldown but get 120498% free AD from it, AND never run out of mana even with a million shields
i'd say it's a skill match

whenever there is a matchup you do not know and you do not care to include junglers in your show then there is only one route to go

It seems like:
Karma's R will work like Jayce's R, has 4 ranks, 1st rank always available, the rest are available at 6/11/16. 60+ cooldown.
Karma's E will probably have some sort of CC (maybe slow?). Mantra'ed version haas stun.
Karma's W will provide CC (root?), and health (wtf?) and armor and ms steroid (wtf so many different bonuses).
Karma FOTM soon.

your jax v my riven 1v1 top no items FINAL DESTINATION

Man that Veigar buff is really meh. I already go DFG/Grail (usually get chalice then work on DFG), at which point I never have to worry about mana ever again. I guess the increase regen means I can contemplate skipping grail if I run some mana regen runes, but I'd rather not do that... >_>

Though I guess with blues it's unnecessary.
People do a lot of crazy shit for gold: double gp10 top, tiamat gp. Every Q is basically more free gold than a parley. It's kinda like nasis except you get 1 AP instead of 3 damage on Qs.

Veigar buff might mean more in season 3 if there's an attractive CDR item that isn't Athenes.
Man, if Blackfire Torch was in summoners rift dot dot dot
