I try and main AD carries, but it really feels like vayne doesn't have any strong counters in lane. She certainly underperforms in some matchups, but it feels like even if she goes 0-3 in laning, if she gets a kill or two from jungle ganks or team fights, she turns games around harder than any other champion. Are there any AD's that have the ability to carry games as hard as she does? Im not even good with her and my win rate is 86% with her in ranked. What do high level players do to counter vaynes that people at my elo dont? | ||

Caitlyn, Graves, Tristana, Sivir all counter her. It's actually really funny as I play Viktor myself and just about never get hit by E and have never lost a game vs Viktor either but I for some reason land soo many Es even though it's super easy to dodge =S By the way Viktor ulti is amazing and deals like a billion damage, people underestimate that imo | ||

Now to be fair, unless you're Boots first Caitlyn, your countering of Vayne is likely very much dependant on the performance of your support. A passive sit-in-brush-and-watch support often leads to Vayne having a field day. | ||

Most likely you'll be lucky to get even a third the ult damage off :3 It also disappears if you die TT Fun for AoE comps though. Am I the only one who finds his auto attack animation super awkward? Where he pulls back a bit before he launches the AA. He's fun to play (I thought he looked really boring but I played him a couple games and had a lot of fun) I just don't think he's that good per se. | ||

currently I'am trying out Ahri (some of you suggested this) partly because she is fresh meat and partly because she seems to be an appealing mix of a Dota-ish semi-carry (strong disable, mobility, burst, decent scaling) with the interesting mechanics of a freshly designed LoL champion. After a few games I looked up guides and found the one by Xspecial on solomid.net. The core buildup would be sorcs, a couple dorans and a rilays, which he then would compliment with the WotA (he recommends dc and vs after this ofc). The general idea is to have enough survivability and CC to be able to land her spells and kite tougher opponents like tanks etc. This is exactly what I'am looking for: A baitish champion and build which has alot of potential to do some cute psychological play (=assholish). Ahri seems to fit that role as an AP carry without being a too specific pick, since she has sustained damage and mobility but still enough burst and aoe to fill your everyday soloq ap role. what I want to discuss is actually the specific item choice after rilay's: Xspecial would recommend WotA. I kinda like the idea because you get cheap AP fast and the spellvamp would compliment her sustained damage. In the other hand: She allready has built in spellvamp which is depending on hittingStuff/time. So morello's comes to mind right? With offensive masteries (4%cdr), 'standard' ap runes (0%cdr)and bluebuff (20%cdr) you would overcap cdr by 4% if you bought morello's. So you could argue to build ionic boots instead of sorcs, but this build heavily delays voidstaff into lategame (which Ahri can afford since she does sustained damage and her Q does partly truedamage). Also I'am not one of the guys who 100% relies on bluebuff, since people are not robots (IMO...). In this case I would sacrifice a bit of AP/gold and regeneration for mainly being able to spam stuff more = slowing people more consistently (rilay's), for more charms(!) and more mobility (from ult). what do you guys think of this? | ||

Someone like Cait just walks up to her and shoots her every time she tries to get a lasthit. Your support should also harrass her at the same time. Vayne can't harrass from far away, she has to commit pretty hard, and will always fight against a creep advantage when she tries to trade. Before lvl 6, Vayne is weak because of this. After she hits 6, she becomes a lot stronger, but she still has to commit. Hopefully you already set her back by then, but someone like Graves or Trist can still take her on if played correctly (both with huge burst), and Cait should be too safe to be in danger. | ||

And she doesnt run oom very fast without bluebuff. | ||

I just played a game with MarineRush (EUW), who is always on LiquidParty, he went afk 15 minutes into the game when we were 20-6, didn't say it in chat, didn't even back to fountain, and didn't even apologize for it. He came back 5 minutes later and proceeded to play completly stupidly given how behind he was and fed them the game by taking really stupid decisions AND raging about in chat. Not really the kind of player I was awaiting to find on LiquidParty. | ||

Had a team that didn't want to fight together, Trynda always pushing/backdooring (and obviously dying to ryze/rammus, what would you expect? To get away from them?), Kog always too close to the front lines, when not simply alone trying to push mid tower, etc. etc. Then I baited them, dropped my stun behind them, my ult on top, and thanks to rylai they had to stay in Fiddle's ult for the whole duration, utterly melting them (I still melted right before myself, but when dived by Vayne/farmed Ryze/Heimerdinger, since Trynda was backdooring on his own as usual). It does wonders but I'd really need to figure out if his laning's weak or if I'm playing him that badly. I change into a slow bot pew pew-ing whoever gets in range and setting up my team's AoEs. | ||
