As a jungler, the nerf to flash pretty much means that ganking will be much easier. We migth see more roamers (Blitz, Alistar, Maokai...) that are much gank dependant to be useful. . It really depends on the range change. Flash's range is so huge right now that a lot of ganks won't even work until Flash is on CD, which means Junglers usually have to have a preliminary gank to make them use it, followed up by a normal gank, which is highly annoying, even for the laner.
But yeah, anyone with a gap closer gets a buff, but anyone with a straight blink gets a HUGE buff. Ez, Cait, Trist, Graves, Corki, Trynd, Riven, Shen and Kass off the top of my head. Hell, on Riven people already have trouble getting away/catching up to me with flash, it's going to be even easier for me after this change.

I don't expect the flash range nerf to be any more than 100, although even a 100 would hurt the spell a lot.
It's probably going to be just a 50 range nerf though.
I personally think just increasing its CD would be enough. I LIKE flash as a summoner spell. It creates an interesting dynamic at least moreso than heal/exhaust/ignite. I like ghost too but it's much easier to use than Flash.
Cleanse is a cool spell as well because it rewards good timing, but it also tends to fuck up the character balance a lot (e.g. Ashe's power takes a huge dip when everyone runs cleanse)

It's probably going to be just a 50 range nerf though. I always have trouble imagining these distances, is there like a chart or something? I need a fucking infographic over here.

So my twitter just exploded with about 5 people saying CDE and Dignitas are going to Korea for WCG. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Well flash nerfs mean that my alistar just got worse, but my jarman got a nice little buff. If only I could get the ult back to it's old status I'd be happy.
As a matter of fact isn't nerfing flash a big buff to gap-closing bruisers like Irelia, Jarvan, Renekton, Jax, etc.?

Thats nonsence, you cant mindread what others will do or what they know/see. Communication is important. Used to play 2v2 in WoW, gotten over 2k rating multiple seasons with very very minimal communication simply because we were thinking the same, it actually is very possible.
This made me laugh, because the typical healer/dps 2v2 bracket is like running AD/support bot lane. In other words, it's slow paced enough that you can literally run behind a pillar (hide in a bush) and type out stuff. Playing at a competitive (Gladiator) level in 3v3/5v5 or even bgs without voice chat or a clear call is a huge setback.
What initially appears to be a "bad" or "highly risky" call will work out fine as long as all 5 players immediately respond and do their jobs. In fact, it's these risky plays that require the most team cohesion, because the margin for error is that much smaller - and these are the decisions needs one voice to call. Of course, it's important that everyone else adds input (our blue in 45 secs, dragon in 1:00, they have pink ward) which will lead to a team decision ("everyone push lanes and go buy").

I hope they nerf Flash enough so Flash + AOE Ult combos like Morg, Fiddles, Cassi, Galio, or Kennen become more difficult to pull off.

Well IMO flash is mostly used as an escape than as an aggressive move right now, so a nerf to escaping>have to fight! Heal as in summoner spell Heal is not used for sustain, its used in battles to be in it longer! You dont usually use it (not that anyone gets it) because you are low in lane. Fear the new Heal+Ignite Renekton top.. almost dead> ult+fury'd Q+heal FULL HEALTH GODOFCROCODILES ON YOU Why do people keep saying that "flash is mostly an escape tool"? ITS A TOOL THAT MAKES YOU MOVE A LITTLE BIT. THAT BY ITSELF IS NEITHER OFFENSIVE NOR DEFENSIVE. A nerf to it being a defensive tool means you will be less likely to fully commit since you can't get clear anymore. A nerf to it being an offensive tool means you will be less likely to get FUCK YES GOTCHA kills/initiations in there. In solo queue, I think good players tend to save flash for a defensive use, as it's usually clearer when a defensive flash will be successful than an offensive flash. And good players generally value "not dying" over "killing". There are some exceptions but I think most exceptions are either people not trying their best (they have fun seeing what they can pull off, aggressive play is more fun, etc) or they're playing champions that are extremely offensive and/or like trading kills.
Pro play, I think your assessment is closer to the truth in some situations. Although in pro play, they tend to value "not dying" even more than in solo queue. Still, they design plays around offensive flashes that you can't really do in solo queue. Flashing over a wall in solo queue is almost always a defensive move (unless you're chasing someone who just flashed). You see offensive flashes over walls more often in pro play. Flash initiates are more effective in pro play as well. In short, offensive flashes usually take more coordination than defensive flashes.
Also I think that in team fights, you're correct to say that it's neither offensive or defensive. If the champion being played needs an escape, of course it'll be defensive, and if they need a gap closer, of course it'll be offensive. Tanks are always flashing forward, ad carries always flashing back, etc.

clearly the solution here is to make flash a built in part of every champion since everyone gets it anyways

On a completely unrelated note, the only letter of the English alphabet that doesn't have a champion is 'Q (Though the only 'D' is Dr. Mundo, which is kind of a cop out)'. Clearly we need one so that we can teach the alphabet solely using LoL champions.

what we need now we a whip user champion.
And honestly i wouldn't mind another dragon, because shyvana was a really dissapointing champ to me in both Art and play style. She has a fast jungle clear time but mediocre ganks and she isnt a good solo top laner imo.

Yeah, but if they pull it off, flash will be nerfed so you wont be able to flash out of the AOE.
I think they need to add a hero with Dota Tiny's ability to throw an allied champion.Throw Morgana into enemy team, Morg Ult, instant win.

It feels like like 5 letters that get all of the names. I think I counted 10 "S" characters after the newest champ came out, and 8 "T" champs. It always annoys me how that many champs are clustered around just those 2 letters.
