I think it really depends of the decision making skill of your friends/team.The one with the best map awareness/ decision making skill should make the call, regardless of his role. I know that our solotop player spot more incoming gank on the bottom lane than bottom lane actually does ( yeah, we arn't very good :p).
Having a disignated person to do it is very important, having half the team following one call, and the other half following another will lose you a lot of game ( personnal experience T.T).
|
I usually make the calls for my team. Im the AP carry and Im usually the most aggresive person on the team, so invading / ganking / teleport / dragon usually goes out from me. The rest of the team knows what to do and what most of the timings are.
Only exception is the jungler , she calls out the ganks on bot and top.
You do need 1 person doing the main calls, so you know who to follow. We used to have 2/3 ppl calling constantly , made us lose a few games just because of that.

Best thing to do is to do thinking excersises together to get on the same thinking lvl, most of the time you won't even need to make any calls anymore.

Thats nonsence, you cant mindread what others will do or what they know/see. Communication is important.

Used to play 2v2 in WoW, gotten over 2k rating multiple seasons with very very minimal communication simply because we were thinking the same, it actually is very possible.

Wasn't there a thread where weak players could sign up and get a "coach" that teaches them specific heroes? I can't find it somehow. I ask because I want to learn to play lanedyr jungle udyr better. I am at EUW. Thanks.

2v2 WoW=5v5 LoL? -_-
Anyway, you can get pretty far just with general gamesense and playing with good players, but ofc communication is important when playing in a team.

Well IMO flash is mostly used as an escape than as an aggressive move right now, so a nerf to escaping>have to fight!
Heal as in summoner spell Heal is not used for sustain, its used in battles to be in it longer! You dont usually use it (not that anyone gets it) because you are low in lane.

Won't a nerf to flash indirectly buff everyone with a gap closer?

I'm actually pretty sure five people is about the maximum where it's possible to achieve this.
For 2-3 people to fight organized without much communication is rather easy to get to. At 4 it gets to be tricky, 5 is work.
The goal should actually to have as few communication going on as possible while having as much as needed. Why? Because random non-important stuff is fun and all but it makes you less effective. "CLEAR COMS FFS" <3

Why do people keep saying that "flash is mostly an escape tool"?
ITS A TOOL THAT MAKES YOU MOVE A LITTLE BIT. THAT BY ITSELF IS NEITHER OFFENSIVE NOR DEFENSIVE.
A nerf to it being a defensive tool means you will be less likely to fully commit since you can't get clear anymore. A nerf to it being an offensive tool means you will be less likely to get FUCK YES GOTCHA kills/initiations in there.

moving a little bit can be used either offensively or defensively. what.

But i wont be agressive if i know i cant get out of a situation. No escape, no agression. You can counter flash, with silence, stun or other cc, so having it is not a guarantee, but not having it will promote more defensive play. Heal is not used atm, at least not in higher elos. But its even worse than Flash, its the most one dimensional skill you can get: low hp? Pop heal. Even Flash is more complex than that, you have to know when and where, two not always trivial decisions. Also, if it has low enough CD than it is sustain, if not than its just a "second chance".
Edit: also that thing the 2 good people above me stated. Flash is very frequently used as an agressive tool, or a utility one (right now im thinking about flash + ult Janna, which is not specifically defensive or offensive, it can be either or both).

Nerfing flash should only affect the cooldown in my opinion, not the range. For example Galio ults and to some extend flashstuncomboing someone will take a huge hit. I dont like it , specially after they wanted less sustain...

Not having flash would promote more defensive play from laners but more aggressive play from junglers and gankers. Buffing and nerfing flash doesn't result in a simple aggressive/defensive dichotomy.

At early levels if you spam heal with utility and heal mastery you get about 4 hp 5 You'd get twice as much sustain from an item that costs 250 gold. Moreover they didn't say anything about buffing heal early game, they only mentioned buffing it late game where sustain is generally less of an issue.
Of course you can overbuff anything but there's no reason why summoner heal is any harder to balance than support heals are, they already have an anti-stacking mechanic in the game.

Hey guys, I am grounded and still grounded (I am using a computer at school) and I am wondering what happened to solomid.net

Works fine for me. I heard people have had trouble viewing it with Chrome though.

I imagine the buff to Cleanse might make that a very popular skill for carries and such.

Yup it will. As a jungler, the nerf to flash pretty much means that ganking will be much easier. We migth see more roamers (Blitz, Alistar, Maokai...) that are much gank dependant to be useful. .
