Boxer has stepped down as the head coach of SK Telecom T1 for unspecified health reasons. iloveoov, Boxer's former pupil and teammate, is set to replace him as acting head coach. iloveoov had previous worked for SK Telecom as a player coach in Brood War, and had recently returned to SKT after finishing his compulsory military service.
Boxer steps down after six months as SK Telecom T1's head coach, and almost a year on the coaching staff, having led SK Telecom to a 4th place finish in the previous season of the Proleague.
This is probably for the best, a lot of SKT fans were dissatisfied with how Boxer did last season. Hard to tell how much of it was really his fault though.

They only have 2 at the moment I think. 3 now with oov. Should be amazing. oov always had crazy BOs for Fantasy.
What I am wondering is what does this mean for Boxer? IMHO it's unlikely that Boxer personally campaigned for Oov's return. I mean Boxer was suppose to be the magic pill that will solidify SKT's dominance in PL and that has failed to materialized. And for Boxer to play a big part of Oov's return during a time of funding cuts and sub-par performance is simply career suicide. If Oov come back and SKT start doing well again, it's likely that public will contribute the resurgence to Oov's coaching rather than Boxer-Oov chemistry. But if Oov fails to make a different then Boxer as the head coach will still take most of the blame.
I think this is a upper management decision and it might be a sign that they are not happy with Boxer's result. One way to make someone quit out without firing them is to 'bring in someone to help you even when there is not enough work to justify it'. They did it to Coach Park.
nooooo he was the most handsome coach . He made some questionable pick during the season but the team got to the playoff and it was more the players under performing than his fault for their play off losses. Also innovation was beasting, SKT was actually the team that got closest to beating soul.
