Hope his health is OK. Regarding his results as coach, i can't help but recognize a pattern i've seen a lot in another beloved sport, football (at least here in Europe) A lot of footballing legends who were amazing players of world caliber become dissapointingly bad coaches, but everyone still has extremely high expectations of them because of the results they had as a player. In my home Romania, Hagi is like that, but i think there are examples in every country But, on the flipside you have guys like Mourinho or Rafa Benitez who never played top football but make amazing coaches. Coming back to SC2, it was obvious that when you take Boxer away from the keyboard and mouse and you try to make him coordinate people or do any kind of management, you're asking for trouble. Slayers was a prime example of this. It was my favorite team in Korea because of Boxer, but after i saw the reports here that actually Jessica is running everything (player contracts, team statements, down to even tieing Boxer's shoes !!?!), and especially after he left his own-created and sponsored team to become T1 coach, i started to realize that he's more like a leaf in the wind, not a strong manager or coach/leader by any sorts. An amazing, world-dominating player...but that was it. T1's results speak for themselves from this point of view, and i don't know if Oov can mend things. Coming back from military service with a heightened sense of discipline, he might be able to wip the team into shape, or he might just be another awesome player turned mediocre coach. We have to wait and see. Hope you get well Boxer, you will always be in our hearts! But, stop trying to be something you're not.

I am a little worried about his health and what he wants to do, but we will probably find out soon enough.

It doesn't say he's leaving the team, just that he's not going to be the "head coach" anymore. Which is something he never really wanted to do anyway. He'll probably end up being the Terran coach.

I'm not translating this very short article since it contains nothing more than some well known Boxer facts and uses kotaku article as source for the leaving e-sports part.

And what's more, 2 of the interviews even claimed that "the atmosphere has improved since Oov's return". Exactly what happened with Boxer and SKT? I don't find that hard to believe in Fantasy's case since BoxeR was in Ace and guess who coached Fantasy back then? The Gorilla Terran himself.

He said Boxer left right after him, so maybe his retirement has affected Boxer.

Boxer/SKT said it themselves, it's a health issue ![]() Also why the hell is everyone acting like nothing happened and even at times seem optimistic? If Boxer's health has deteriorated so much that he can no longer continue to do what he love, they should all be sad and say a bunch of "get well soon".

Maybe there's something, maybe there isn't. And sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. In the meantime I would refrain from interpreting ill-feelings simply based on silence.

If Boxer's health has deteriorated so much that he can no longer continue to do what he love, they should all be sad and say a bunch of "get well soon". Well aware of the 'elder' thing but you have to understand that Gorilla is the guy who made strides with Fantasy. Not BoxeR. He was out of the picture. No point trying to connect the dots in that case. I'm sure he respects both, but he is definitely way more familiar with Oov. Boxer has a lot on his plate man and let him take care of his personal issues. Bisu's comments relate more to the 'respecting your elders' category. He was just being respectful and wanted to wish BoxeR all the best after retirement. It was more of a reflection. The other guys on the other hand have a job to do and cannot dwindle on anything so I'd say this shows their focus on winning and improving their game. Having a positive mindset is a great way to achieve victory. There is no time to feel sad for others. They must focus on themselves and what do you know. They're speaking a good game. As a coach this is everything I would want to hear because it would tell me their minds are in the right place to be successful.
