There are a few poor cards in your list, but you're mostly there...
1. King's Elekk does exactly nothing in this list. There's almost no beast synergy and you're going to lose 90% of jousts. 2. Murloc Tidehunter is awful. 3. Razorfen Hunter is even worse. 4. Ditch the Snipe for something better - Snake Trap, 2nd Explosive Trap, Freezing Trap etc. 5. Dire Wolf Alpha also isn't ideal. 6. I would also question Tracking and Hunter's Mark in a face deck, but I suppose they're okay replacements until you get the good cards. Just remember that you have 2x silence for taunt minions, and that everything else goes face. Also, remember that Tracking will discard the two cards you didn't pick - they don't go back in your deck.
Although Arcane Golem is pretty important, I'd argue that Eaglehorn Bow, Mad Scientist, and Haunted Creeper are more important. You have the Argent Horserider and Wolfrider already so the Arcane Golem would just be an upgrade to what you already have, whereas Eaglehorn Bow and Mad Scientist will completely change the power of your deck.
My main piece of advice to anyone getting into Hearthstone Ranked play is to get Naxx as a matter of urgency. This would give you Scientist, Webspinner, Creeper and a bunch of other great cards for other decks.
In the meantime, consider putting in Worgen Infiltrators and Bluegill Warriors for the Razorfen Hunters and Murloc Tidehunters.
GLHF.

Thanks for the advice. I've gotten 2 eaglehorn bow to replace Razorfen Hunters. Then got freezing trap to get King's Elekk out. Should I replace Murloc Tidehunters for Bluegill Warriors? I'm considering dusting for a second explosive trap for snipe or worgen infiltators next. Where should I put the most dusting priority?
I was considering buying the expansion for gold, but 700 for one level seems like a steep price.

Blizzard recently announced they're removing naxxramas from the game so if you ever want to see the single player content you need to buy the first wing of naxxramas before April. Given you'll be able to disenchant the cards its a guaranteed 600 dust for 700 gold.

done roughly 40 ranked games and I only move from between 16 to 18 just up and down all the time, no matter what deck I play... even with my strongest. I've been rank 5 at the end of the season which brought me directly to 17, but it feels much harder now than rank 5-4.
is this normal at the first few days of a new season?
I'm not a math expert, but my idea is that there's not enough space for all the > rank 5 players and legendary players, so they push each other down and therefor I might be playing against ex legend players? at least a couple opponents had those legendary cardbacks

alright. I almost thought I had become a huge scrub overnight, when I saw some streamers being on rank 10-8 already. I finally made it to 15 now... ahhhhhhhhh this is so hard compared to the end of the season. no scrubs, no misplays and only warlock, mage, paladin and a couple huntards
zoolock, rheno jackson lock, freeze mage, tempo mage, mech mage, secret paladin, murloc paladin and face hunter

Dust only unless you buy it before they implement standard

If you don't plan to completely abandon the option of playing in wild I'd reduce that by 50 Dust for 2 copies of Creeper and Nerubian Egg. In the second wing probably by 470 for Loatheb, Sludge Belcher, and Unstable Ghoul as well as Webspinner and Duplicate. Disenchanting useable cards even if it's only for wild, and constructed tavern brawl seems a bit overexcessive.

I haven't touched this game in over a year and I have a really noobish question: Are cards actually tradeable/sellable to other players in some way now? IIRC that wasn't possible when I played. Just curious about that.
Also as a random comment I find it surprising Blizz called the format Standard, the very same name MTG uses.

1. No 2. Blizzard is like that kinda of girl who can get away with almost everything.

how long has secret paladin been around? I can't believe that almost all paladins I've met are golden, cuz it used to be one of the least player heroes on ladder I think. have people been playing secret pala or maybe another strong deck before Mysterious Challenger was introduced?

Secret Paladin has been around since TGT came out in August. Before that, Midrange Paladin as an okay deck, rising and falling in popularity as most decks do, though less popular than it could have been since Paladin had a lot of trouble against Patron Warrior.
Before GvG Paladin had a tough time, as it just got run over by Zoo most of the time.
|
ok well it's not too long. then maybe the explanation is, that most golden secret paladins were paladin players before TGT and switched over to secret pala because they had Tirion and Coghammer already
|
I dunno, if you're dedicated at the game you're probably doing 10 wins / day right? So that would be golden in 2 months roughly. Secret Pally's been around longer than that so even more casual people would be getting there I would think.
It's not that expensive of a deck to craft either (especially if you consider how many people already had Dr. Boom for something else), just 2 legendaries and a the majority of the epics have been around since GvG days too.

I feel so weird with my 0 golden heroes while I feel that I've played HS so hardcore.. I've done quests on several accounts/regions instead of grinding/farming on my main.
I never grinded rank mode only twice, but at the and of the season. that doesn't take too many games. right now I'm grinding really hardcore for the very first time in order to reach legendary and have done 20 games per day on average in the last 7 days. damn I need a doctor. how can streamers survive playing so much HS over such a long time? I really couldn't
|
I can't either, so I also don't have any golden heroes yet.
Lately, I only play maybe 10 games a week, but like you it's across all classes, so my top 3 are still only at 100 wins lol.
|
is it just me, or have secret paladins suddenly disappeared? in the last 30 ranked games on EU, rank6-8 I've faced only 3 Paladins.
if it's true, then what is the reason for this?
also normal zoo has almost disappeared in my ladder games

is Flame Juggler really bugged? I've never seen it dealing dmg to anything but face, not ingame, not on streams, and someone here wrote sth like "change the card description already"
