I've read most of this thread but i'm not sure if this has been mentioned already, sorry if it has but..
I really like the announcer the chose for the games at the end. I mean ok, hes only 'casting' for a few minutes but...the presentation was really professional. It really puts to shame some of the shoutcasts i've heard in my life. I mean, we all know much of what he said is bogus filler, but he managed to successfully fill the time without any ridiculous repetitiveness that is so common. Hire someone like this to commentate WCG please .
My friend just came up with a cool idea... wouldn't it add a neat twist if each gamer was given one bye? Like, Geoff knows DDR is his worst game, so he uses his one pass to keep him out of last place for that game. Who knows, a worse game could come up later, but that's what makes it such a good twist...you have to know when to use it!

Nah.. than that takes away from the "best all around gamer" aspect of the show.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but every all around gamer has a game like DDR that they hate and never play... just because Geoff sucks at DDR doesn't mean he wasn't the best all around gamer in the house, you know?

I don't think iNcontroL was the best overall gamer in the house :\ Last place at PGR, last place (?) at DDR, not so great at Virtua Fighter even after the training session, not very good at Rock Band.
Apparently he's good at FPSs but so were a lot of other gamers in the house. And you know they aren't going to use an RTS as a game (or are they?) I mean he's so good at Starcraft that it kind of makes up for his sub-par games but that doesn't really help in this kind of competition.

Yeah, it's kind of a strange concept because most people who are playing at the pro level have to really focus on one game... an overall gamer probably wouldn't play on that level on any one game huh?

Plus, he didn't create any drama or do much of anything in the house.
As far as you knew
There is so much going on that nobody (outside of the show)knows about it blows me mind.
I don't think I am anywhere near the best "overall" gamer in that house. But having a game where everyone plays it casually since they are kids vs one guy who has avoided the game his entire life cause it is terrible is not in any way shape or form indicative of who is a great gamer or not. If they had SC all those people would look WORSE than me just because SC is so unlike all the other games you can play.. which is my argument for DDR.
In any case this is all pointless... I suck balls at ddr, racing games and I have played rock band 2x. It is no surprise you guys saw me look bad. I am great at fighter games but in virtua fighter I did AS WELL as one of the world class fighters (Swoozie) and you guys think I am bad That is fine!
Had we done the sports game (coming up) and Halo (coming up) you guys would have had more to cheer for! If DDR was the last game I probably still woulda lost but at least I coulda shown some more!

I have no real regrets.. my previous post was really just a minor issue. Overall the show was a life changing oppurtunity that I am REALLY glad I was able to take part in!

I'll admit it was a bad plan and against the spirit of the competition, but still.
One of the best players in the house against the worst for that game type... Wow how admirable... lol. How could anyone not see that as trying to snipe Geoff so he'd never get a chance to play the games he's really good at? Political wise it works out too, but Swoozie didn't even consider to play any of the weak players against him... Geoff did really good for someone who was up against the odds, but it still wasn't even close. His opponent would have had to choke with the types of people he was gonna be against. The only player who really helped him was Chelsea (was that her?), while everyone else just had fun in the hottub... For people who act like they care so much, they totally left Geoff out to dry when it looked like he was done.
That said... He's out now, so there's not too much point in watching the rest of the show.... Hahahaha.
I wanted to go to Samsung and help him train all day. He had stated he wanted Rob to go against him so that rob would add "flair" to the competition... I wanted to HELP GEOFF to improve his scores so that if he DID have to go to Samsung he'd go out with style and have a great score and have a close match. Just because you don't understand what I said doesn't mean you should bash me... they can't fit every conversation in the show.
Also I did help Geoff, and so did Robert. It's called EDITING ppl.... just like how they made it out like Jamal trained alone on PGR4... notice that chair next to him? Yeah I was sitting there and must have walked off to go to the bathroom or something for that shot. The editing goes according to the Story that they want to portray.... don't believe EVERYTHING you say and hear.
You take yourself very seriously :O Common, you signed on a show knowing you could be portrayed as selfish and evil, and that just happens to be how they edited it. I'm not going to withhold all judgement because I can't possibly know... Where would be the fun of the show if I did that?
I mean, you could literally say anything. Editors have the motivation to tell an interesting story, and you have the bizarre motivation to defend yourself from people who don't know you. The whole purpose of a reality TV show is gossip.
I think rather then trying to accuse or declare what you think is true about the show, kindly ask the people who were actually in the show, and more than willing to answer your questions.
This show is all about the match ups. Inc got screwed over because he was so godawfully bad at DDR that no one saw him as even a slight threat and that's why swoozie was comfortable going in and mercing the poor guy himself.
If you look at Amy, by contrast, she looks to be near the bottom of the group in skill consistently. Just like Geoff. But when she got put up she got to play against someone else who sucked at that day's game.
Geoff probably would have been fine if he got put up with another weak player. That's just how it goes.
The show is interesting though, because players like Amy and Chelsea seem like they suck ass. But FPS is apparently their strong suit so they might show up strong in future episodes. Also, Robert looks like a monster right now, but he might fall apart if he hits a game he's bad at, or at least worse than other people.
If nothing else it at least keeps it interesting, but I gotta say, without Inc in the mix I'm not particularly interested anymore. I'll probably keep up with who's winning in this thread but I can't be bothered to watch an hour of garbage TV every week without the novelty of a TL crew member on there.

Well it`s nice for you that you got this knowledge about the concept of this shows. But apparently a lot of other people lacked it, when you saw the reactions. Ban vote and angry offensive postings. So if you are part of a community and now known, then its just normal that you defend yourself when a big amount of people is attacking and start hating on you, seem to lack the right distance to the show and want to ban you from the site. Her post in this matter was just based on the principle of action and reaction and there is nothing to criticize about that. Maybe now some more people are smarter about this kind of shows and keep the right distance.
