The article almost has to be leaving some information out..... Is ketchup also a fruit in USA? Is Fanta also a fruit? We may be losing our international presence, but it's not from this. Seriously, how does labeling pizza as a vegetable really affect anything? There are so many bigger problems in the world. Yea, the USA may be "dumb" or do things differently than other places, but it's still the most influential and powerful country in the world. People like to shit on the US, but the USA gives more $ to charity than any other country in the world.

It explains alot... I like americans, some of my friends are americans and I hardly have a bad thing to say about them, but when it comes to the congress & government the list is long. And so what if they are giving money to charity? Nintendo spent more money on game development than USA did on their own schools. It's easy to pull facts out like that. Anyways, american people: generally very very good. The US government: occasionally making decisions that only 9 year olds would make...

Nor per capita... It is not that people like to shit on the USA per se, it is just that the states have a lot more exposure and has proclaimed itself a rolemodel for the western world - which obviously will attract people shitting on them...
