Pizza is not the reason people get fat. McDonalds is not the reason people get fat. A lack of moderation is why people get fat.

All those things are based on the same crap: Treat people like a whole (not like individuals), and factor them as benefit or a cost. Anyone who even considers this idea will notice that its OBVIOUS, not some sort of rumor or consiracy. If yu look at JFK or Clinton, both short termed their time in power, and both were doing something that seemed good. You would be amazed if you googled a bit the things out there. For instance, Global warming, where it started, how, how it was denied. Programed Obsolecence. Im guesssing there are quite more, but i decided its better to live dumb and happy than smart and sad/angry especially when a single human would have 0 influence on the sstem that rules us called sociaty. The reason why good politicians have no chance is becouse bad ones will use BAD STUFF to beat them...

And why did they decide that? Was it like "kids don't eat enough vegetables, but every doctor says vegetables are really important to eat. So pizza will be a vegetable so kids will eat a lot of vegetables and it will be good for them" or what?

Furthermore, while tomatoes are indeed considered fruits by a botanist, they are most definitely considered vegetables in the kitchen.

The title is extremely misleading and as such is leading non-americans off on wild circle jerks about how much the USA sucks. Furthermore, while tomatoes are indeed considered fruits by a botanist, they are most definitely considered vegetables in the kitchen. Yeah i agree that its a bit cirkle jerkie, but the title in it self isnt the problem, its more that the OP doesnt explain what really was voted on ^^

We just laugh at some of the things your government do/decide. I know that Americans are great people and friendly as hell, but sometimes you government is pretty messed up (yes even when compared to the rest of the "civilized" world),

Who is even the lobbyist behind this? I wouldn't have expected tomato farmers to pull much political weight (would be less surprised by corn-syrup to be labeled a vegetable that pizza. The fact that the government throws money at research for corn-ethanol to "protect the environment" is a good example of this.)

"It's an important victory," Corey Henry, spokesman for the American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI), told Reuters. The trade association lobbied Congress on behalf of frozen pizza sellers, such as ConAgra Foods Inc and Schwan Food Co and french fry maker McCain Foods Ltd. So remember, money for agribusiness is more important than children's health.
