I cannot fathom parents that allow that. I never could when I was in school either.

Sarcasm doesn't work that way. Specifically you can't be sarcastic about the stereotype that americans are ignorant idiots and then prove you are one in the very next sentence by declaring whole countries irrelevant, because their population is under an arbitrary threshold set by you(apparently you, a population of 1, are "relevant" and "special"). Btw, Germany, the country of the first poster in the quote chain, does not have a lower population than Mexico City, so... a) You are randomly insulting a bunch of countries for no reason b) You don't know Germany has a higher population than Mexico City So in conclusion... good job keeping the stereotype alive!

It's only natural for someone to get defensive and to begin making offensive responses to people when they've read 5+ pages of insults directed towards their country. Maybe try to be more understanding of his response instead of continuing to stereotype and criticize Americans. Honestly, his post was much more understandable and worthy of tolerance than many of the ridiculous nation bashing that preceded his, which have yet to receive a warning or ban I might add.

User was temp banned for this post. i'm not fat. ![]() it's obvious the government did this to cut corners and not have to revamp the school lunch system. it's nothing new to americans because they do stuff like this all the time, but this one is just extra funny because it makes the government look so stupid.

Block the Agriculture Department from limiting starchy vegetables, including corn and peas, to two servings a week. The rule was intended to cut down on french fries, which many schools serve daily. Allow USDA to count two tablespoons of tomato paste as a vegetable, as it does now. Federally subsidized lunches must have a certain number of vegetables to be served. Require further study on long-term sodium reduction requirements set forth by the USDA guidelines. Require USDA to define “whole grains” before they regulate them. The USDA rules require schools to use more whole grains." Overall the story has been pretty sensationalized, as pizza is not a vegetable, but rather the tomato sauce(which is really a fruit). My question is why not regulate the "unhealthy" foods themselves instead of making these ridiculous tradeoffs involving potatoes, corn, peas, and tomato paste?

When I was in the Navy, the Wendy's on the Naval Air Station where I was stationed got busted for not rotating their beef patties by the Army inspectors. They ended up using the government issue (I was an SK- aka supply rating that picked these orders) hamburger patties which were something like 90% soy. I laughed everytime I went into Wendy's with their advertised 100% beef knowing full well that was BS. "Where's the Beef" indeed! Kindof makes me wonder wtf these fast food places are really serving. Maybe pizza really is a vegetable in the US lol (that would be a relief actually) :D http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/260771/january-06-2010/alpha-dog-of-the-week---domino-s-pizza
