I dont get how people come up with bane being a henchman when it is at worst a duo with talia and bane, neither being the subordinate.

I thought the writing was poor, but I loved the action, special effects, and Bane. 3/4!

Saw it opening night, and oh boy the crowd. Any time something mildly dramatic happened this one lady behind went "SHUT UP!" Got my wish with JGL being Robin, but I'm dissapointed I'll never got a proper "Robin." The plot was enjoyable in a "I shut my mind off and just watched" way. I hate finding the hook before it happens as it ruins the tension for me.
I was hoping this movie would change my mind, but Anne Hathaway always seems super bland to me. =\

A bit of a letdown.

Regarding Bane: + Show Spoiler +I think he was brilliant. A great performance by Tom Hardy. I loved how he was everything the Joker wasn't. Having a stable (rather than psychotic), trained martial artist take on the batman on his own turf was pure genius. However, both his death and the plot twist about him not being the peak boss of everything was disappointing. I wanted him to do it for himself - and himself alone.
Blake: + Show Spoiler +I never read the comics, but from what I remember from earlier movies and tv-shows I was convinced Robin was in fact a circus artist? I loved Blakes role. Especially how he evolved into being more and more into what he thought was best - rather than what the law said.
Selina Kyle: + Show Spoiler +I have no problems regarding her character. It was awesome and really well played + Show Spoiler + - and might I add... She was pretty haaaawt . However, I really couldn't understand Bruces trust in her. It got to a point, where I had to think "Duuuude, you dumb!". Think about their encounters: 1st: She steals his mothers necklace 2nd: She steals his Lamboghini 3rd: She leads him straight to Bane, where he gets demolished. And yet, he comes to her a 4th time... giving her a bike/weapon. It doesn't make sence to me, how she suddenly would become less egocentric?
Plotholes?: + Show Spoiler +- Why does Bane talk about Ra's Al Ghul and avenging him, when Ra's obviously didn't care too much for him and even excluded him from the league? Was it just him hinting about Ms Tate, whom he cared about (and to confuse the audience)?.
- When Wayne managed to climb out of the pit. How did he get back to Gotham? It was my understanding this pit/prison was in some exotic location (middle east maybe?). Him, being broke and in foreign surroundings - and with Banes thread about blowing up the city if anyone goes in or out, I just can't figure how he managed to come back into Gotham?
- How the hell did Bane know about the arsenal? I thought only Alfred, Fox and Wayne had any knowledge about it. And not even did he know exactly where it was... He knew it so precise, he knew exactly where to blow the hole. Did I miss something?
- Banes idea to apply anarchy was pretty cool. But the first things they did straight after claiming anarchy was to set a court and criminalizing cops. The started to make rules, which is pretty much the opposite of anarchy. I realize this was all an excuse to give the city back to Gotham while they were frozen in fear - yet had no options of survival - but it didn't make sence to me. He'd might aswell just proclaim himself a new guardian of city or something?
- The stock exchange. To my understanding they didn't throw his money away. They just made bad investments. However, if you invest billions. No matter how bad the investments - you'll still have some value in the stocks. Most likely the companies would actually increase their value. Without having full understanding of the stockmarket, I have a hard time accepting him going broke overnight

+ Show Spoiler +With Selina Kyle didn't he say multiple times that he thought she was more than just a thief? The other thing was I don't think he had much of a choice with finding Bane and needed someone to help people escape the city. Even if she ran people could still have escaped so not the worst thing. Also in terms of the plotholes. The court they had wasn't a true court. It was just sentencing so isn't completely against the idea but I see your point. And for the stock market they said he spent all his money on options (which are a really risky way of playing the stock market) basically you get an option to buy the stock at a later date for the same price as when you placed the option. If you never used the option the money is just lost. So because he didn't use the options and spent all of his money on them he lost all of his money.

I'ma go see it next weekend, this week I was too busy.
That said, I hate Anne Hathaway with the burning passion of a thousand suns. So that might be problematic.
Also, the second movie was so tight and twisting that I think the third movie has a lot to live up to. But I hope it'll be enjoyable.

Plotholes: + Show Spoiler +- I am pretty sure its because of his relationship with Talia - I cant explain this one - Bane knew that Bruce Wayne was batman, he could likely figure out about the arsenal - Bane didnt set up the courts, that was the criminals. The judge was none other than the villain from batman begins. It was stated pretty clearly that Bane had nothing to do with those trials. It is also pretty clear that the "court" is not a court at all, just a way to power trip for insane criminals, note that people are never actually given a choice. - I dont know about stocks at all, but I imagine if you invest all of your money into a company, which then goes bankrupt the next day... you would be out of money

A bit of a letdown. Yeah I was letdown quite a bit. The movie just felt very generic and mediocre. I've had friends go gaga over it saying it's the best movie they've seen in ages and what not. Just a case of people getting caught up in the "hype" I guess. The Avengers was a far better superhero movie, and to be honest, I felt Spiderman was slightly better than TDKR.
I'd say I'm also the same with the overall rating, 7/10 for me.

Eh, 6/10 from me-- slightly worse than the Dark Knight. Way too many plot holes. Bane and Miranda had very anti climactic deaths and the movie just didn't feel complete.
I mean 3000 Police Officers trapped for 5 months are given enough food/water to survive and be able to fight as soon as the rocks are broken? And where the hell are they shitting and pissing?

If 6/10 is slightly worse than TDK, have you ever had a movie rated higher than an 8?

+ Show Spoiler +I thought it was pretty great up until the plot twist with Talia. It totally undercut Bane and all of the ideology he spent so much time espousing to the people of Gotham. It would have been a better movie had they not gone there.

+ Show Spoiler +If you look on imdb the same question is asked about how Bruce got back to Gotham. Answer is that when Bane seized the reactor, it was mentioned that they had about 5 months before it blew up. That gives Bruce enough time for a return trip from anywhere in the world. The same way he had access to Cleanslate, he had friends in high places, which helped him get back to Gotham. Gotham wasn't technically quarantined, as food shipments were allowed in. Citizens just weren't allowed out. That's how the Special Forces team managed to get into the city. Source http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1345836/faq#.2.1.64
