Brazil play was so so. Adriano must get the fuck off the team, get back Ronaldinho and then we are ready to go.

Could have been like 4-0 for Brazil easily.

Spanish refs are just known for being the worst in the world, whether that's true or not I can't say. Italian refs are known for being the best. Players suffer injuries in all leagues, the EPL isn't much worse. If it is worse it's probably because it's played at a higher pace and closing down is a larger part of the mentality.

Italian refs are known for being the best. I like English refs the most (Howard Webb for example), at least their calm style and how they allow to play when two players use the same brute force level to fight the ball. In Spain that kind of play is usually called as an offensive fault if near the box, or deffensive fault if it's in the center. Also, the high level of diving hurts spanish refeering, and the way players behave with the refs, as if they were enemies instead of judges.

Capello seems to understand what it's about and his "no-nonsense" style is working well. Oh and lol at Jon Terry getting booed, what a twat. It was even more funny because the commentators were getting their nickers in a twist about it. The dreadfully pompous ITV commentators and Gareth "big nose" Southgate saying how it "hurts the team" when the crowd boos "only a portion of the supporters are behaving like that" ... yeah whatever. It's a stupid pointless friendly anyway and the fans are there to enjoy themselves.

Really dislike that number 8 De Jong? Something like that. Flopped a ton and injured one of our starters (US) pretty bad with a stupid stud up tackle. Oh wells, GGs Holden is out for 6 weeks now ![]()

Crouch is good, but I'm pretty sure the US central defense will be sufficient to deal with him. He only has 2 inches on Onyewu, and is less athletic.

Hehe, I was in the crowd at Wembley and took part in booing the dick, although in the end he played well so it started to die down. But Lampard, Upson and Walcott were all so shockingly bad

![]() = Broken Fibula Right after this Nigel De Jong then takes a bad touch when dribbling towards his own goal, so he falls down and the ref bails him out with a terrible call (Beasley got the ball and had a 1on1 with the keeper). After looking into it more, he has been doing this consistently in the EPL for Man City, also had a terrible tackle against Japan. How the hell can you get away with this in a friendly?

Since Gerrard/Lampard haven't got enough brains to play together just play Carrick, Barry, Milner/Lennon/Wright-Phillips + Gerrard. We've got plenty of choice, if there's one thing that HAS been proven it's that Gerrard + Lamps doesn't work. If you watched the game Rooney played great as usual, creating space and playing passes. They just didn't provide much service to him.
