After the game he did a victory lap around the field. Very emotional scene. What's wrong with LA Galaxy and ruining player careers?

As I understand it, anyone who wants to negotiate for a player has to go through the MLS and pay a transfer fee. MLS doesn't want to sell cheap, the fee will probably be at least 10 million(Using Altidore transfer to Villareal as a benchmark). Everton is low on cash at the moment, so they aren't going to pay it. Rumors of Chelsea going after Donovan have just come up, but I'm not sure how credible those are.

""Whatever are the mistakes - and yes there are mistakes - people will review the match and discuss what happened but there was a clear statement that technology should not enter in the game. If we start with goal-line technology then any part of the game and pitch will be a potential space where you could put in place technology to see if the ball was in or out, whether it was a penalty and then you end up with video replays. The door is closed." This makes zero sense to me. Is it a cost issue? Are they afraid it would be unfair to lower level leagues that can't afford the equipment needed? Is it a problem with tradition? In that they don't want everything in football to become black and white or right and wrong, that they think terrible calls are part of the appeal of football rofl? Even Div2 rugby union has video referees so i guess money isn't a problem. They are just stupid conservatists.

I don't get why owners are so afraid of this shit in so many sports.... baseball is deathly afraid of it, and football had to fight tooth and nail for replays. $10 mil for Donovan is insane. Do leagues have transfer agreements in place? Like I know in hockey, the NHL and KHL don't have one, so poaching bullshit happens. Is the MLS' fee a lot higher than other leagues??

Except they just lost to Wigan; I guess that's another LOL. City have 2 games and a point in hand, it's gonna be really tough for Liverpool to get 4th; I wouldn't put money on it.

Villa also has 3 games in hand and is only 4 points off 4th spot with some decent games to play. I also wouldn't bet on Liverpool getting 4th spot with Man U and Chelsea still to play. Either way I wouldn't mind anyone else qualifying for CL but Man City.
