if you try to measure a goalkeeper with this statistic ther might, maybe something wrong O_o edit: wiki says toni has 56 games - 38 goals that's 0.67 goals/game fucking shit...look at his stats since playing for palermo, now I am impressed http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luca_Toni not many players can come up with such statistics

edit: shit you got me.... as with any statistic, it is rigid and it becomes hard to compare. one obviously flaw I can immediately think of now is this substitution thing. So maybe they should now put a goal per 90minute as an extra indication.

I think he even knew it as he was subbed off with like 30 minutes to go in the game. The dutch doctor leading his treatment suggested that (no more than 60 minutes to protect his ankle) Ballon d'Or is a joke. Finishers are overrated and playmakers underrated

We have a 2008-2009 Club dominator FC Barcelona, and a National Team dominator Spain. Let's find the intersection of both and we'll get the key. Xavi is the playmaker of both, with a 95% pass ratio, big assist figures and some key goals in CL and Euro and on the other hand we have Messi, a dribbler scorer that BY CHANCE only shines when Xavi is on his side of the field. Xavi assisted Torres for the 1-0 vs Germany. Xavi assisted Messi for the 2-0 vs ManU (Iniesta assisted Eto'o for the 1-0 and scored the 1-1 at London). What's Messi relevance in this key moments? Does Messi shine without Xavi at Argentina's NT? Being biased was never so easy

His best times were when he was in Gremio imo (because thats my team :p, ok Porto was his best times... :/). I looked on wikipedia for his stats and found out it was not updated and english version differs from the portuguese one. Anyway, i believe this stats are right: Gremio 73 appearances, 67 goals. Just to say, when he played together with Paulo Nunes they were killers, thanks to them Gremio won the Copa Libertadores in 1995.
