If they however made a ''Ballon d'Or of all time for defenders'' he would be the No1 favourite. ![]() On December 02 2009 06:22 party wrote: maybe if germany had won the cup kahn would have placed first (he got 3rd in 2001 and 2002) also i read totti is thinking about returning to the national team for the world cup, somehow made me think of you^^ That is generally how it is yeah; the winner takes it all. Totti was the best player of Euro 2000 in my eyes (won Man of the match in the final ![]() Totti coming back to Gli Azzurri would give me an orgasm and it would increase their chances of winning the WC a lot, but I don't see it happening. Partly due to his extreme ability to get injured all the time, but also because Lippi has hinted plenty of times that he has no intention of recalling him. ![]() Totti has never been known for performing at his best in the national team, but a pretty interesting thing to note is that when he does, so does Italy. In 2000 he kicked some serious ass, and they reached the final. In 2002 he failed and they got knocked out. In 2004 he became a retard for a minute and then Italy failed. In 2006 he did great once again, and then Italy won. 2008; no Totti = no party. They need his creativity so bad. ![]() On December 02 2009 06:31 TheMusiC wrote: i like to joke around sometimes and say that materazzi single-handedly won the '06 WC final ^^ i mean he scored the tying goal AND got zidane sent off. MVP play right there Ya, Materazzi was indeed an istrumental part of Italy's success in the tournament. Not because of his defensive abilities though. ![]()

![]() Great job by most Roma players! I hate Riise because he's norwegian, but holy fuck what a warrior he is. A true viking. GranDe Rossi is king. Julio Sergio was perfect and made one of the most impressive saves I've ever seen on Mauri's shot. And the hero of the night; Cassetti! If I could've selected one player as ''Least likely to win the game for his team'', I would've picked him. ![]() I love Totti so incredibely much. It's easy to forget this, but despite his insane scoring orgy this season his main attribute is not actually goalscoring. What a playmaker he is. His unique vision combined with his insane technique makes him the best one touch passer in the history of the game. I can't think of anyone who comes close in that area. With a little modification to his playstyle I can definitely see Totti playing football on the highest level as a 40 year old if injuries doesn't become worse and more frequent than they already are. Please come back to Gli Azzurri so they can defend their gold! The stadium looks empty because all Roma fans are in one Curva (Sud) and all Lazio fans are in the other Curva (Nord) and none of those are shown from the view we get on television.

As I said, the view you get of Olimpico on television shows the worst possible part of the stadium. Besides, it's not about quantity, it's about quality. I'll never forget when 3 000 or so Roma fans outsang the entire full Old Trafford despite being down 7-1. ![]() ![]()

Well, I have little idea since I'm American but the "soul" as it were doesn't come on screen all that often either. Granted, I don't watch a lot of Serie A. You can scream quality all you want but thousands of empty seats looks godawful any way you spin it. Anyway, was thinking more of Germany; I think they do even better than the EPL in terms of getting butts and passion in seats.
