This happend to me just now. I cant for the life of me hack these lvl 3 panels because i only have lvl 2 stealth hack and no nukes and i'm surrounded by guards everywhere.
Try to rush past all the guards and robots but still get mowed down eventually
Derp.... usually they place emp nades or rocket launchers around the area if there are bots. just go look for em. Trust me ive looked everywhere, there's no ammo to be found in these rooms, its mostly just credits or ebooks. If you're truly stuck, look for a trainer to help you get over that particular issue.

Social enhancer is not just about telling you what to answer, it also provides means to influence the guy ie new dialogue options you would not have otherwise. Sure you can do without it just fine but it's far from being useless.

I didnt like the social enhancer because most of the time all of the 'new dialogue options' came off as jensen acting like a giant dick.

Fun game, Panchea is the easiest level aswell. Pretty anticlimatic for a final level. EMP grenades, grenade launcher, typhoon, invis and high hacking is pretty OP.

I haven't replayed the game enough to be 100% sure but it seems that what you say doesn't really matters most of the time anyway... or the correct answers are really obvious. I have always got what i wanted.
Played without the aug btw, never felt the need.

The thing I love about this game is so many people here are listing must have augs I never got. Listing boss strats I never used and pitching them as the super obvious strategy as tho everyone used them. There are just so many different ways to play this game and they can all work. Really good design imo

You don't need social enhancer to play through the game but without it you're going to miss some dialog and achievements.
Personally I'l rather see more of the game even if it's just a little, than opt to take 15% less damage or have less recoil etc.
But thats just my opinion.
Doing a Give me Deus EX, No alerts, no kills run atm and it looks awfully easy a few hours in.

I've experienced this too, only with the heavy guys. I'm guessing the tranquilizer needs bigger doses on bigger guys/doesn't penetrate the heavy armor, so you need multiple shots. Possibly. I just find it weird that I shoot a dude to the back of his head from 5-10m range where bullet evelation shouldn't happen when he has no head armor, or headgear in general and nothing happens... not even alertness. Well... I don't know how powerful Tranquilizer rifles are but I feel it's a bit silly if the dart would fall down when I shoot to 10m. the heavy soldiers from the guys who wear those face masks dont have helmets but they still got the armor. Same thing with the Harversters, their heavy guys got only a face protection but the back of their head is armored as well. To kill robots you guys just have to throw one EMP grenade at them that kills every robot instantly. Just finished the game and when you watch the credits until the end there is a little video sequence. Can anyone tell me what it is about? To me it felt like an homage to Deus Ex 1 but I never played that game + Show Spoiler +If you don't want to read a spoiler of the first game, don't read on. + Show Spoiler +Bob Page was one of the villains from the first game. He was part of the illuminati who would go on to create the Gray Death, a virus that was used to control the population by also controlling it's cure, a vaccine called Ambrosia. According to that cutscene, apparently Dr. Reed became involved in its creation. DUN DUN DUNNNN As for augs + Show Spoiler +I favoured augs that gave me more options for exploration. Similar to how I tend to play the first game. Smashing through walls gives you access to new areas and sometimes ammo, upgrades and praxis kits in quite a few places, although beware; if you're playing for Pacifist, if you smash a wall and there's a guy on the other side, you break his neck. Really annoying since there's a wall up the fire escape in the DRB area I can't get through. There's a guy standing on the other side who won't move Picking up large objects is very handy. Plenty of places you can use that to access new areas. Inventory space is incredibly nice. Doesn't help you really do anything, but makes life a lot easier if you want to use more than a couple of guns and not have to leave ammo behind. Plus, carry more stuff to vendor! Although, money is easy to accumulate if you're meticulous about exploring and hacking. Not once did I reach a LIMB clinic without the 10k to purchase both Praxis kits. High-jump was pretty useless as an exploration tool. The one place I remember I literally couldn't reach without it just revealed a vent to an area I already accessed. Silent run/walk was similarly useless since you can just crawl through most areas no problem. See-through-walls was incredibly useful. I used that a ton of times to plan ahead and avoid things, plus it helps you spot invisible guys. Tracking targets is kind of useless if you have this. The Radar upgrade was also handy, since you didn't need to get a visual to have people show up on it. Faster sprinting/longer sprinting is more of a luxury. Wasn't anything you couldn't access without it that I could see. Immunity to EMP and Gas was pretty handy, since some areas are filled with EMP or gas that can block you. Hacking is absolutely essential for exploration since there's tons of things you can't do without it. Fortify is pretty useless. Mostly you just want the ones that reduce detection, so you can steal half of the grid before the computer wakes up. It's easy street from there. In my new game (hardest difficulty, Pacifist, trying to find all the books, completing some secret achievements I missed etc.) my first Praxis points all went into hacking access and reducing detection and its been going fine. The double knockout is actually really handy. There are a surprising number of places where you can make use of it. More batteries were kind of meh, since you have to use those consumables to charge them up, but more recharge speed is very nice. Naturally you'll want reduced recoil and reticle bloom if you like to run and gun. I didn't even get Cloak until the very end, but it would definitely be useful for a Pacifist later. Icarus Parachute is good for those stupid slip-up moments and to get from point A to point B quickly. Plus, I think the ground slam knocks guys out and doesn't cost a charge. Social enhancer is nothing you can't accomplish without a reload if you're determined to win the arguments, plus it takes all the fun out of figuring out what the person wants to hear. Finally, Typhoon seems like suicide, but would be fun to combine with Cloak. Typhoon is the best. Dont need nades to kill robots + Show Spoiler +However it doesn't work on the robots in the hanger when you're getting out of the tower building in china i sprinted up to one and used it, and its like LAWL and pwnt me spent the next 20 minutes searching around till i finally found the one emp grenade in the room and had to coax both of them together to kill them. pretty stressful D: I have so much fun with typhoon tho. You shoot a bit, they come around the corner slowly. typhoon into GG. Only problem is you have the judge the range right. because you step out of cover to do it, if you dont get all the bad guys you can die pretty fast once it goes back into first person mode. my biggest gripe with the game atm is theres no quick save button. everytime i'm doing something risky i have to go into the menu and save, a real pain
f5! i feel bad for you >.< i couldnt play an rpg without quicksave

mmhh does that really open up new stuff? also from the ingame description it sounds like it makes the talking scenes rather pointless which would be sad.

you get better responses if you succeed without using it.

Am I alone in liking the bosses? From the reviews, it seems like everyone thought that they were "old school." I don't know, I liked the way that the bosses were almost MGS-esque.
I focused on hacking instead of combat too, but what do people expect? To be able to "hack" their way past a boss?

They were not very characteristic, very little back story behind them and their attack styles just aren't that unique.

The most important through is definitly hacking level (get it to level 3 asap) and also the heavy weight lifting. Basically for the stealth, you don't really need aug to do that. Hacking and lifting heavy things let you explore a lot more about the world and hacking robots and turrets onto your side will help tonnes in your whole game.
But if you want something fun, try this: upgrade battery to max, get running speed and silent running and invisible upgrades. Eat all your neuro bar (or whatever it is called), and if you see any difficult areas, just turn all silent running, invis and you can run pass almost everything (but I think robots can detect invis, not too sure because I usually hack the camera and robots before anything else)

You need it to get the achievement from Mengyao either than that it is optional.
