Then it can be a little bland and jaggy, but honestly... it's got the graphics of a game released in 2011.... My friend tells me that these are only the low quality textures, this right? Or is this all we get? Maybe in the full game, there will be hi res textures (and the option to change and all in menu)

I just hope that it isn't shit. Whenever I get hyped for something I'm normally let down, and for once I'd like to be an optimist and be fucking right for a change.

Metro 2033? Left4Dead? Elder Scrolls? I think there are a lot of games that PC Orientetad are good, proble is piracy if anything. Now, For you guys who dont know about it, Console games are highly limited by the hardware, and also by the manufacturers since console developers are more action orientetad teams and less "long games".

Because consoles are for kiddies :D On June 05 2011 17:31 Chibithor wrote: I played the beginning and absolutely loved it. I'm thinking of preordering and stopping here to avoid spoilers for the full game experience, and possibly start a playthrough of Deus Ex+IW...to my shame I have both on Steam but didn't play very far in. Should be worth a new try for sure. Yes, play through the first two games so you can follow some of the characters that pop up in the prequel and go "Ah, I remember that feg" and shoot him in the head ![]() DX:IW isn't THAT bad, i sort of liked it. Sort of.

I found it dark originally, but I turned up the ingame brightness setting and now it is decent Give us a screenshot?

+ Show Spoiler + I love all the little details. One that made me lol. When you go back into your apartment after the second mission and see the Mirror is smashed. You check your emails and see your Land-lord (Lady) says that the mirror is out of stock and she'll get it to you ASAP. When you see her in the lobby and talk she says "No Mr Jensen, your mirror is not here yet". But then you check her emails on the Lobby Terminal and it turns out that the Mirror has been sitting waiting to be delivered for 4 weeks now. ... Bitch, I shot her in the face for that.

Its graphics are a bit on the downside, but the gameplay is almost flawless. Many Rpg based things, AMAZING gameplay mixes (for example, you can look around while you are hacking a door to make sure noone sees you), the augs are freaking great (they wont overpower you, only give u small but usefull edges each time you upgrade 1), conversations are personality based, so you need to watch out how u aproach each person, and the story line so far seems really good. As long as they dont rush it to the end and is anywhere as long as the original Deus Ex, i think a lot of people will like it. Also combat is really well mixed. For me, as i love to be a unseen ghost killer, took me about 1 hour and some more minutes to finish mission 1, withouth detection, and it was hard and really nice pressure :D. If anything, i have a bit of a disconfort about the targeting system while fireing a weapon. For some reason the calibrations are really off, and aiming seems like in those games where the cursor is constantly moving in every direction slightly to make it harder to aim (not really, but you get the feeling some invisible force is stoping your aiming). 100% buying it... but mayb not as soon as it comes out. Edit: i tested it on a HDTV, and it seems like everything is grey when should be black. I tried calibrating the tv, but it might be the fact its specificly designed to look like that so that it wont be nice, thus forcing you to buy the game. Np for me, im buyin it for sure :D.

Gameplay is everything you loved from deus ex 1 with some extra awesome sauce (how cool is the new hacking game ^^) I like the art style though concerned it may get repetitive after a while. Textures are hit an miss with some things looking like set on lowest and some looking pretty sweet. Optimization is off as it will have poor framerate at times even when there great framerate in very large ares with lots of action going on. I'm sure the final product will clear most, if not all these things up. I am worried about a few things. In deus ex 1 you could find a secret code word to make the german guy blow up without having to fight him. This meant you weren't boned if you speced stealth and/or social/ non combat skills. So there were no situations you couldn't handle if you played the game not as an action game. At the end of the beta for deus ex 3 you are put in a situation that leaves stealth guys at a grave disadvantage and I hope they ad some alternative path or at the very least similar situations don't appear later in the story length seems pretty solid - especially if you are doing all the side quests
