With 3 leaders, though. But yeah, they could easily have made this the mongol horde. And there's still some more Greek leaders to go. They could use Midas and give him all kinds of trade bonuses. And stray into myth to use Agamemnon for another war-oriented one!

Now they are trying to spread it to Germany from the North and England from the West. This is how Wars start ![]()

It's basically setup to re-simulate world history in Civ, and you can jump in and take over any Civ at any point in history. https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/welcome-to-dawn-of-civilization.533861/ To me it's still the best Civ ever created.

This is how Wars start ![]() Back when my friends and I used to play a bunch of Civ2, we had an epic game where Japan was expanding its territory like crazy and ran against the borders of our civilization, America. We were at peace with them for years and years. We settled a city pretty close to their borders on an island, and we decided to name it Pearl Harbor for ironic purposes. Well, it so happened that exactly in the year 1941, on Japan's turn, "Sneak attack on Pearl Harbor!" with a Bomber unit. It was one of the greatest coincidences ever. We raved about it to my friend's dad, who shrugged it off and said "it's scripted to do stuff like that." Of course it isn't, but sometimes... this game... you never really know...

Try the mod I linked above. Stuff like that happens all the time there, even though it's not scripted stricktly speaking. Each civilization has unique victory goals based on their history. Aside from a few examples (Alexander, Seljuk and Mongol invasions) these are not scripted, but nudge the AI civ into a direction broadly reflecting history. But with enough room for amazing and hilarious differences.

Hopefully the bug that I reported with the Outback Tycoon scenario has been fixed (Sometimes the game doesn't register that you've researched technologies properly)

Added “Future Civic” to the end of the Civics Tree, a repeatable Civic to research and add to the player score. This was super needed, definitely some good changes overall, especially if the AI tweaks work well.' I am still hoping to see "Improved the frequency at which the AI upgrades military units" in the patch notes a some point.

The swordsman nerf is definitely warranted. Swordsmen rushes were too good. I believe the concept is to buff coastal cities, which were quite weak previously.
