I agree for the most part about your converting and culture converting strategies, it's kind of a passive defence against Ottomans that will make him pay much more than he wants to if he was to attack you, but nothing if he doesn't. Anything that increase the cost of your provinces while decreasing their worth when in enemy's hands is good for a country of this size. | ||

In the beginning you can't do anything but pray that the Ottomans dont attack you right away. As far as I can remember I just sat around for a couple of years and managed to ally poland with the help of a diplomatic advisor, a donation, taking loans and go way over the army limit (for less army strength negative reasons) etc... Basically had to pull everything possible out of my hat. Back then, Hungary also used to get beaten up by Austria, Bohemia and Poland all the time. So when the opportunity came I also took a huge bite off of them. Then eventually I was also able to ally Austria and some other guys and we beat the Ottomans. But I don't think there's a special formula. Basically alot of random variables need to go your way. | ||
