Prussia decided to "want my provinces" and unallied and rivaled after a couple of years into the regency. Queue France DoW with Prussia dogpiling in later.... GG at least the regency council gave me the Die please Die achievement xD | ||

My allies didn't do any better, Aragon got 2 of their smaller armies stack-whiped, Portugal is randomly sieging and unsieging provinces all over France (does the AI try to loot?) and only Brittany tried to actually help me. I think it took me about 2 hours of back and forth on speed 2 to finally get the lead in the war by constantly battling in good positions and with mass mercenary reinforcements. Like 15 loans at 140 ducats each worth of mercenaries. All my allies white-peaced out because of length of war and war exhaustion modifiers, except for Aragon who got fucked by the Iberian Wedding in the middle of the war. But now I'm finally at a positive warscore with half of France sieged. I think I'll try to drive the French war exhaustion up to 20 and keep the war going as long as possible to get France to explode so that I don't have to deal with their bullshit armies again this game. Obviously PU is bad, so you want to keep at war or be twice as large tax wise as them (as I believe you cannot be PU'd by a country that has <50% of tax base as you). Poland finally left the coalition against me during that war so time for them to die only members were russia/poland but really didn't want to involve western russia if it was avoidable since inevitably I'll be fighting them over georgia soon enough.Milan and friends is going to be nothing but trouble when I push west, rarely seen them get so big. | ||

You inspired me tot start my own game as the Knights. It's going pretty decent but I made a huge mistake. Most of the land I had conquered was in Greece, Balkans and Hungary. I took the land I needed from the Mamluks to form Jerusalem which I did. What I didn't realise though is that your capital gets transferred to Jerusalem so except for 3 provinces all my land was distant overseas lol. Had to truce break the ottomans to get the land connection, that war was a massive slugfest but ultimately I won. | ||

That sounds like how my 8th attempt went that failed when the ottomans crushed my alliance. I held most of southern italy even at that point only to lose like a 3rd of my forcelimit when I reformed. I think my current game would of gone a lot smoother if the persians hadn't blobbed so crazy early they were adding like 40-60k to the ottomans during my 2nd through 4th wars. Crete will always be overseas for you after you form just FYI kind of funny that nothing else is. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/QSFwEGn.png) This was my first war against them. Ironman so my heart about dropped at those numbers. | ||
