Somewhere I have his rookie card floating around. Doubt it's worth anything anymore lol. On July 17 2012 08:08 slyboogie wrote: Antwan Jamison to Lakers. There's never been a player who has made as big an impact in as small an amount of games after having being non-existent previously. His potential off-court value is so high that it could arguably justify overpaying him as a player. However, there are no guarantees that his off-court value stays so high, particularly if he regresses to the mean and becomes a very average player next season. He pulled in a lot of casual fans during Linsanity, but those will be the first fans to leave once they get bored of him. If he doesn't perform to expectations, then NY will have to pay a lot of salary and luxury tax for someone who could end up being no better than a backup PG. The fact that the Knicks are so committed to Melo and Amare only makes it riskier because they are virtually guaranteed to prevent Lin from realizing his full potential simply due to how they play (iso-heavy and ball-dominating). Personally, I think Houston pulled off a brilliant move by making it so hard for the Knicks to match. Lin will likely be worth the money he'll be getting paid by the Rockets due to the large Chinese population there, and their lack of any other star player to take the ball out of his hands. Even if Houstin ends up landing D12 or Bynum, they're close to the perfect type of players to pair up with a guy like Lin. They can afford the gamble because both the on-court and off-court circumstances make their worst case scenario a lot more palatable. I hope Lin ends up in Houston because I think his humble manner will suit the organization better, the fans will embrace him and stay loyal to him (unlike fickle NY fans), and he'll be more likely to reach his full potential on that roster than while playing next to Melo and Amare. This is pretty much how I see it. I think Houston will be good for Lin and vice versa. Knicks are gonna end up losing in the first Round and the fans are gonna turn on them during the season as soon as they realize that it's back to isolations 24/7 again. I think they pretty much screwed themselves over with their roster with or without Lin.

DAL definitly had the PERFECT Offseason. Mavs: Collison, Majo, Kaman, Brand all on 1yr contracts. vs Nets: G.Wallace 4yrs/40m, Deron 5yrs/98m, J.Johnson 5yrs/89m, Lopez 4yrs/61m... Both teams have no chance of winning the championship next season, but DAL has the flexibility to get competetive in the 2013 FA and the Nets are stuck with terrible contracts for the next 4-5yrs.
