John Wall and Brian Cook, surely.
This is well below quality expected of a post in any forum. -Empyrean

Rajon Rondo is the best two pick and roll players in the NBA. He doesn't even need the roll.

Pau Gasol is the key to the Lakers fortunes. I'd never trust Dwight to "run" an offense as in Orlando they really didn't play through him the way you'd play through a normal center ie post ups and entry passes. Part of that is Dwight isn't really a dominant post scorer and secondly he is terrible at passing and always has sky high turnovers.

I think they should do the Miami routine and stagger their starters, giving Nash and Pau an early rest in the first, and letting Kobe/Dwight close off. At least that way if the bench struggles the Lakers went in with a lead. Pau and Nash are best suited to creating for sub par players instead of Kobe going 1 on 5 or Dwight getting double teamed and turning it over all the time.

I don't know.

Best two pick and roll players in NBA now find themselves on the same team.

Nash yes, Dwight no. He's being heavily gifted for being a great roll guy but he against quick or bulky defenders he has limited options because he can't shoot and has no ball handling ability. There are a couple of guys I'd take over him in a PnR situation.

I saw some stat on NBA TV where he Dwight scores like 60% of the time off of pick and rolls. It's a statistical thing not an opinion I have. Who knows if having them together will be a great thing or not, or even whether Kobe will want to stay out of the offense for x number of plays.

I keep thinking about how the Lakers haven't had an offense run through a point guard since Magic. That's a bit of an adjustment for Kobe who's played in the triangle and faux triangle his whole career.

Aren't they playing Princeton/Motion offense? Kobe will have a lot to do with the ball even if Nash is in. Also, I've always wondered about Kobe playing more like Ray Allen - not entirely, of course, but moving around, getting a nice shot without the ball and all that. That'll never happen.

Enes Kanter has been killing it this pre-season.

Any thoughts on how he'll go this year?

They're giving him a lot of run in the preseason, but you have to think his minutes will drop significantly once the regular season starts and Jefferson and Millsap return to their usual PT. Favors has a better shot at minutes because he's the defensive anchor that none of the three other bigs are, and which the Jazz need to take that next step.

Whoever drafted Harden in fantasy should be pretty happy.

Makes business sense for OKC - they are paying penalty on every dollar they pay him. Even so, 54m over 4 years was a pretty fair offer... only 6m below a max 4 year offer under the current rules.

Huge and surprising trade. I know people are arguing already that the trade made sense for the Thunder due to the finances, but I'm not buying it and think it's a terrible decision for them. They could always get lucky and have PJIII or Lamb blow, or make some great trade later one with KMart's expiring + picks, but I think it's clearly a bad move based on what we know now.

I have to say that this Simmons article makes a lot of sense to me: http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8486795/the-harden-dilemma The Thunder crying about not being to afford paying the luxury tax just doesn't add up when you consider how successful the franchise has been and how affordable the team has been up to this point. No team can expect to compete for a championship these days while paying as little as the Thunder have been over the past few without a LOT of luck. OKC had the stars align for them to compete for a championship at what should be considered a substantial bargain for the past few years, and now they're going to balk because they have to pay what most contenders have to pay? This while they're one of the most successful teams in the league, with three hugely marketable stars? Let's also not forget that the ownership consists of very rich people. Like Simmons, I don't buy it.

As much as it helps the prospects of my hometown teams (Lakers and Clippers), I'm disappointed at this result. OKC had something really special on that team, and should have been able to make it work. They should still contend for this season and for seasons going forward, but we'll never get to see what would have happened if the Westbrook/Durant/Harden/Ibaka core could have continued to grow after last season's growth and maturity in the playoffs (vs Spurs in particular) and finals defeat. Damn shame.

I've already said this other places but the trade was terrible and OKCs owners should be ashamed for being so damn cheap.
