Why so? Playing Wade at SF doesnt mean he will defend a SF. They reason why i picked Lebron/Wade at PG is because one of them is going to dominate the ball. Of course they will matchup somehow on the defensive end, so Wade wont get a mismatch trying to defend a 6-8 small forward.
Let me tweak my line-up a bit (considering they are guarding the spot they are playing at):
PG: Wade SG: Allen SF: James PF: Lewis C: Bosh
What i meant in my post is that either Lebron or Wade will dominate the ball, therefore being in the PG spot.
Also I think there is no teams in the east that has any inside threat to Heat, thats why they can go for this lineup. Celtics tried with Garnett, Pacers tried with Hibbert. And we saw how everything ended. And they probably meet OKC in the finals again, who has two bigs that are offensive liabilities. Only team i see who can punish them inside is my Lakers. But then again, i think they are too old to even get to the finals

No mention of the coaching? I'd say '92 team has much better coaching than '08/'12 teams.

It's impossible to compare two amazing Olympic teams to one another. That being said, I agree with Xal. Westbrook would shred that defense.
Also, no love for the 1960 and 1982 (?) teams? I mean if we're going to make unrealistic comparisons, I think it's only fair to pit those two teams against the 1992 and 2008/2012 teams as well. I had another point to make here but I got a phone call and completely forgot.
Oh, now I remember: every team fielded by the US is a dream team. We hold the longest winning streaks in Olympic history, and dominated the sport even before we allowed professional players.

Like Cyric said, the major issue for the 92 team is the advanced defenses relative to their times. Chuck Daly as good of a coach as he is didn't have the ability to run complex defensive schemes with superior athletes. The rule changes in 03/04 (no handchecking, no impeding a wing player's path without the ball) ended up spiking defenses into "less position, more rotation" based approach. Add in the vastly superior ball handling and even Pippen and Jordan are going to have major issues stopping All Time Great scorers in Lebron/Wade/Kobe. They had trouble with rookie Iverson who's ball handling while insane is comparable to some of these guys and they had the benefit of the older rules.

Morey has amnestied Scola. Is it just me, or is that crazy? He's DEFINITELY not making it through that wire.
EDIT: I mean, doesn't he have the most reasonable contract ever? 21/3? I'm all for bold but geeeeez.

Sooo, to get back on topic; Wolves waive Milcic, obviously trying to lure Batum to Minnesota.
Bobcats pick up Sessions as a result of DJ Augustin signing with the Pacers.
Dallas, as expected, has waived Haywood after signing Chris Kaman (which is a really nice signing for Dallas, in my opinion) - they've also signed Darren Collison and Dahntay Jones for Mahimi. There's also talk about Mavs trying to sign Elton Brand who was waived by the 76ers.

He's also a fine player. That one certainly caught me off-guard as well.

Fuckin' do it, Spurs. Probably wont' though . :/

There is no right answer guys, you can't debate the topic like there actually is. Arguments can go back and forth all day and guess what no one will ever know who wins. I think it is more of just a fun topic to throw around with no real definitive answer but /shrug...

EDIT: I mean, doesn't he have the most reasonable contract ever? 21/3? I'm all for bold but geeeeez. Ya he has nice contract and he is a nice player like Southlight said. Someone will surely pick him up. But this is huge! With everything we said about Scola, you don't just drop him for no reason. They are looking to take back contracts and helloo Bynum. Howard to LA and can't wait for all the hate!

Highest amount wins and pays that amount of his salary and HOU pays the rest. At his moderate contract though it would probably not be much if there are several teams interested I would assume (althought I don't know what teams are under-the-cap other than Dallas who will presumably make a bid for Brand though).

Yeah, people are shocked and are assuming that it has to be part of a D12 deal.

wondering if dallas will persue him over brand

D.J Augustin is gone at point guard, free agent Ramon Sessions will replace him, and power forward Kris Humphries and center Brendan Haywood could end up Charlotte Bobcats, too. The Bobcats came to terms with Sessions Thursday, then rescinded a $4 million-plus qualifying offer to four-year Bobcat Augustin. That made Augustin an unrestricted free agent, and immediately Augustin signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Indiana Pacers.
dem musical chairs yo. good thing for that cba!

Madness if you ask me, Scola had solid trade value. If the Rockets don't land something significant during this trade period this will be a serious stuff up by Morey.
|
In saying that, I think a deal is done and Morey's clearing space to make some major follow up plays. It doesn't make sense to amnesty Scola as their cap was already in good shape and Scola had decent trade value. Rockets only had $34 mill committed next year and now only $25 mill with Scola gone.
Something big is going to happen soon IMO.
