Just a question guys. What is the purpose behind having triple tour guides in a Dino Rabbit deck?
I was going to make one on Dueling Network, but looking at deck lists, apart from Sangan, there doesn't seem to be any other fiend monsters in the deck.

Edit: Whoops, apart from getting itself out and then overlaying for a lvl 3 exceed off the bat.

open with zenmaines early on with tour guide for tour guide

then get sangan with your next tour guide and make leviair to get back one of your rescue rabbits and make another xyz summon with it

zenmaines + laggia/dolkka on the field is ridiculous, everything just gets negated

You don't have to look through them all, you can search for the cards you want. If you have absolutely no knowledge of cards or how the game works then this is not a useful program.

Along with the things DoctorHelvetica said, Tour Guide is simply the best card in adv right now. It can be any of the following:
a 2500 vanilla (strictly better than other <lv4 vanillas like gene warped warwolf, or alexandrite dragon)
a 3000 beater with acid golem (also strictly better than it's maindeckable counterparts)
a wall who destroys things (there isn't a similar card in the game)
a mini DDR (the closest thing being Different Dimension Master, a level 5 monster who requires you to discard a card, and even he saw fringe play in later DDT builds.)
a sangan (in that you tutor it out and don't exceed)

Tour Guide is the most versatile card in the game, and singlehandedly makes bad hands good. The only decks that shouldn't be running TGU right now are decks that play skill drain, and maybe something like samurai with can generally make better use of it's normal summon.

Is anyone up for a Ro16 tournament?

How should we do it? I would say disallow tier 1 because I wanna try some of my untiered decks and it's more fun when it's not all dino rabbit/inzeks/windups/tg's

Dunno if I'll play beast or gradius, I'm having a blast with both. If you're interested just respond and I'll PM people who used to be active here.

A tournament without wind-up/rabbit/inzekter sounds pretty nice.

Wind-ups are ridiculous

I side like 5 cards specifically against the wind-up loop

Having a lot of fun with Holy Marks right now. I took out two forbidden lances recently only to really need them in my recent duels when they were dead draws before

If you find enough people, I guess I'm in as well. Friday/Saturday is fine, Sunday...not too late since I'm European and have to get up early the following day.

An event with no inzektors/wind-up/rabbit would definitely be fun. Just to make the rules clear, can you explicitly say what is not allowed though? For example, can a random elemental hero deck run burstinitrix/sparkman and try to combo off with rabbit into shinings/leviairs, or is rabbit just banned in general?
What about wind-ups, do you disallow people splashing wind-up rabbit in non-dedicated wind-up decks, or do you just disallow people to run the dedicated deck?

Making a slightly modified banlist just to clarify the rules of the competition would be beneficial, if I may propose:
banned:
Evolkaiser Laggia
Evolkaiser Dolkka
- these bans kill the current "rabbit deck" while leaving rabbit legal for other fun, legitimate decks to be played. Banning these I feel has the least negative impact on potential creativity.

Wind-up Carrier Zenmaighty
-Kills the wind-up deck while not impacting other decks that want to do something like splash rabbit. It also lets people play a more fair wind-up deck that can't loop if they want to.

Inzektor Hornet
-kills the engine of the deck, pretty sure this renders it unplayable, though I really don't consider inzektors much of a threat anyway.

And just as a general thing:
Tour Guide from the Underworld
-this card does nothing but promote degeneracy. The game has pretty much degenerated into:
1. Play Tour Guide.
2. Play Skill Drain to deal with Tour Guide.
3. Play Inzektors to deal with Tour Guide plays.

No card, other than maybe Cyber Stien has ever warped the metagame this much(it got to the point that people maindecked burn to get their opponent below the 5000 life total/kill them in response to stien.) Even with all the current top decks not legal, Tour Guide will still be the best card in the format by far due to it's insane versatility. Guide might be the best non-combo monster in the history of the game.

Put me on the tournament roster, I'll probably play no matter what ruleset you choose. I'm not sure what times I'll be online, but I'll try to work my schedule around it. I even have a pretty fun brew in mind to run, I love me some Volcanic Garden, deck hasn't been playable in over a year. I might try to get a couple friends to join too, sounds like something they'd enjoy.

edit:
banning something like shi en just to prevent those shenanigans might not be a bad idea either.

Edit2:
As an aside, is anyone interested in playing Traditional format? It's actually a fairly deep format, nowhere near as ftk based as people would like you to believe, even if heralds/crow/banisher/veiler are staples because of ftk decks. Ftks lose to a turbo'd Imperial Order, and generally don't have room for disruption to prevent the opponent from ftking. Post side they can't do too much, since so much of their deck is card draw. Their best bet is some kind of transformational board so you side in the wrong hate. Magical scientist is absolutely nuts, but he also loses to all the hate lights except banisher.

Banning Tour Guide and Zenmaighty would be fine. I actually like the Dino monsters and don't have a ton of problems dealing with them if I side or just play slower. Dino's punish people who overextend really hard and I think because YGO is such a fast game people aren't used to playing against control and cry about it too much. I think dino's are good for the metagame, maybe not the way or the speed with which they're coming out, but the actual monsters I have no problem with.

With the limited interest let's just do a Ro8 and then I'll blog about it and see if more people get up into the thread.

Rabbit isn't a control deck by any means. "Control" implies it plays for a lategame, which it doesn't have. It has 2 rabbits unless it sacks into an avarice, it doesn't have any play after those normals are out of their deck. It's a permission combo deck, that aims to lock the game down quickly and not let the opponent play, not a control deck.

Banning rabbit is an alternitive, if you like that guiba -> guiba -> laggia exists, though aside from that I really don't think there is any legitimate use for laggia, and I honestly question how fair even that is.
