As "boring" as this may sound simply by looking at the scores, the West has been all but boring if you watch each game. PHX v CHI? each game to overtime, with last second goals by CHI to tie it up? STL v SJS? A story of Good goaltending and Defence vs a struggling PK and Top line, NSH v DET, very exciting series to watch, (From a Blues fan ofc, didn't want to see either of these teams first round xD) and LAK v VAN, yeah, pretty one sided so far, but perhaps a spark of hope for VAN, as the sedins are reunited and finally won a game off of quick, though I personally don't see them taking the next 3.
Past the first round, if each of the teams ahead pull through, you would have STL v LAK and PHX v NSH, two very interesting and exciting series. STL v LAK would be a defensive and goaltending battle, and while some fans may argue that low scoring games aren't as exciting, I disagree, the last game that STL played against LAK was a 1-0 win for LA in a shootout, and it was probably one of my favorite games of the season. As for PHX v NSH, not sure how that would go, it would depend on if PHX has an answer to Rinne, and lets be honest, not many teams have this season.
I'm super excited for saturday, I have tickets 10 rows off the ice for STL v SJS, Hoping to bring the boys in blue a win and their first playoff series win since 2002! LGB!

Anyone know if there is a stream out there for the pitt vs PHI game? CBC only showing Detroit I believe

And he also asked Giroux if he wanted to fight the right way, to which Giroux declined over and over again. Which resulted in Him callin Giroux a fucking pussy. At least he's willing to stand up for himself. Giroux wouldn't even drop em.

fleury was just... otherworldly on that penalty kill.
put it in the books baby we're headin back to filthadelphia!

It was very nice to see Flurry getting out of that slump he had lately and performing amazingly in that game. Btw I loved the crowd in the Verizon centre. Chanting all the time, very supportive in that game. I dunno: maybe I didn't notice that before but had this sudden clarity during this game
|
That game didn't look at all like game 1-4. Only the PP's remained the same. Not sure how Orpik didn't get a penalty for hold the face of vanReimsdyk. Fleury was great, Bryzgalov was good.
Game 6 should be intresting

One game at a time. See you in Philly.
Also, Congrats Nashville.

steve sullivan with another badly needed goal from the depth chart, fleury turned into a monster and giroux into a 3 year old. lovin it!

I am sad they took out the Wings, but I hope they go far they actually are getting a really good fan base built in Nashville and it would help their organisation a ton to make it to the CF's.

The only way Nasville doesn't make it to the stanley cup finals is if LA pulls a mircale and beats Vancouver to end the series (Which won't happen as long as Daniel plays). But if LA does somehow win, Nasville going to the finals like i called it.

Eh meant Nashville beating the Wingers personally in a series as they were 0-2.

If VAN goes down I'm rooting for Ottawa, and maybe the flyers just becase After that not much else to cheer for imo.

You don't have to worry, VAN isn't going down!

Red Wings have had the same problems they've had the last 3 years. Babcock wont let Datsyuk and Zett play, which means Datsyuk has the two slowest wingers on that team and cant do anything with, its no wonder that Zetts line was the only one that looked dangerous, they still have the speed. The defense has been just awful, the last two games were pure turnovers.
Oh well, at least they have between 6 and 12 million in Cap space next year. let quincy fuck off or re-sign for 2, let stuart fuck off and bring up the AHLers. Will be back in the playoffs again but unless Holland does something he hasnt done in forever and make a couple of major moves will be NJD-esque, just good enough to get into but never a threat to anyone.
As for the Canuck fans. Ya, Canucks are definitely going to pull a miracle run. All it will take is for Richards to keep scoring 1-2 goals against his own team, Daniel to survive, and Schneider to keep playing perfect. That all seems really likely.

You act like the team that won the number one seed can't do it.... The canucks have the skill to run it for three more straight and I do think it is possible. What happened the first three games was not the Canucks but if they can play like they did in the season for the large portion of it, see you in the secound round.

Quick regularly stole games for the Kings. Thats how they made the playoffs. Van aint comin back from 3-0. Might get to 7 but I do not think Quick is capable of losing 4 striaght.
