I've owned 4 madcatz sticks and one of the new hori TE counterparts, the TEs are better imo, but I would go with an eightarc stick. Eightarc.com. They come dual modded so you can use it at both 360 and ps3 tourneys (can use it for pc too), also they use the standard sanwa parts used in the TE and new horis, with a felt bottom (great for not having a cold metal surface in your lap, also wont slip off your lap) I think those run for 140 euros but they're well worth it.
eightarc looks really interesting and their cheapest, the iso ebony, is 109 dollars which is like 85 euros. emailed them about shipping, because it obviously wouldnt make much sense if shipping to germany is another 50 or so. thanks for the tip
I found this in a short story, and it made me laugh:
One morning he read in the paper that Enrico Caruso had been arrested for mashing. "What is mashing?" "It is one of the most heinous of crimes," his father answered. ... He resolved, with considerable horror, that when he was old enough he would try mashing at least once.

Qanba Q4RAF are the same as the Eightarc Fusion sticks (except for start button placement and handle) and is actually sold in europe from what i can tell (example) or rebranded by BigBen
Apparently mlg is announcing their stuff regarding fighting games on wednesday, lets hope its sf4. Seems reasonable to assume as JP has been tweeting about producing AE content with mike ross or something along those lines.
I think I'll be bringing floe an apple and some donuts at final round. Those streams were amazing.
in sad news, ov3rheadGreg's youtube account just got bopped over some footage of a mago vs fuudo ft10 from october =/ Getting appealed, hopefully he'll get it back.
So I'm a fairly new player. I was wondering if there were any youtube uploaders I could sub to that are like the Ryu version of JR Rodriguez--who just upload their Ryu gameplay daily?

Hey. So I'm thinking of picking up AE and putting a bit of time into it during my free time. I've never really played any fighting games anywhere near seriously, so I'm looking for some advice.
What I'll need: I'm thinking of picking up AE for my PC (I don't really use my console). What should I be using in terms of equipment? Is it worth investing into an arcade pad, or would I be fine with a USB xbox controller?
What should I be doing? I'm willing to put a bit of time into getting OK at the game. Are there any good resources on learning the game from the beginning? I've seen some guides an stuff on youtube, but most are geared toward players who obviously already play at a decent level. I want to learn the basic mechanics of the game and practice them and start to understand basic stuff and as much as I wish this wasn't true, I don't understand all the technical terminology etc just yet.
Who Should I play? The way I approach competitive games are usually incredibly mechanical. I would rather have really good mechanics than good strategy. For instance in starcraft, I didn't really learn any strategies for a long ass time until I could always keep my money below 500 under pressure in real games. I understand mechanics are important on every character, but I want to play a character who I can just play like a robot without doing anything fancy. Any tips would be great!
