Yeah it's not exactly the best but it's only concept art. The artist, Bengus, is the same one who does the story mode artwork. Although it's not a deal breaker and I understand that it's the art style Capcom is going for, I'm personally not too fond of it either.
If Juri has an eyepatch in these pictures I'm guessing that means she wont have feng shui engine? Don't think fse makes sense for a CA, and it probably too op for a v trigger
Yes please, this thread is too big anyways. The OP is nice for people who want to get into USF4, but I doubt there's much to discuss when the whole competitive scene is focusing on SF5.
lol, yes, I can't wait to go pick up my copy of usf4 today. I'll probably be playing all weekend but mostly offline vs. Can't wait to test out that new... decapre.
are "we" making a new thread = are "we" politely begging Aylear / pachi?
tbh probably gonna be playing Rashid at the start and switch to whoever is deemed cheapest after a few weeks. His v trigger is useful in a ton of situations and I kinda like the keepaway-ish thing he's got going on with those AA tornados.
edit: evo tickets go on sale next thursday @ 5 pst for those of use lucky enough to go

Probably the last usf4 tourney before sf5's official release. 7v7 with the participation of big names such as infiltration, gamerbee, dashio, nemo, fuudo, hagejin

What events are you going to this year trumpet?
100% Evo, not sure what else. I have enough vacation days for at least one other major, might try for combo breaker or CEO depending on $$$ status in the next couple months. You coming out again? :D
Having played this weekend, wayyyyy happier about SF5 now that I've played it offline instead of just online matches. Still like Rashid, but not as sold on him. Started playing gief as a joke bc he has armored heavy punch (<3 shen woo) The new tools he's got change the way he works in some good ways imo. His f + HP is golden on knockdowns / jumpins. Links into combo / 720 on hit, gives advantage on block, enough time to hide a 720 as a tick on block. If they jump, it swats them back to the ground and gives a new knockdown. Just a little slow, so he can't combo it from high up jumpins like j mk. His st mp is a bit less obnoxious than 4 but st mk fills a lot of that purpose by reaching further and hitting lower. Both combo into VT on CH. cr lp is a fantastic counterpoke against characters like vega who can outrange him. VT itself can whiff punish the laggier pokes that might be out of range of his other normals for some scary damage. Not sure what he can get if anything off lights vs crouchers, esp if not close enough for lariat. Need to test there.
One note that I never realized before this weekend: alpha counters (v reversals?) immediately let your stun bar to start decreasing as soon as you activate. Chars with attack based ones like Mika basically get to let her whole bar recover by the time the opponent is active again.

CEO for now. On the fence about EVO or anywhere else since I don't actually enjoy tournaments just meeting up with TLers and Hijinks with SayaSP.
Made a new thread platform for Street Fighter V. Expect some updates to the thread. Aylear can redo it if he wants. All updates are free, not even going to cost you any fight money.
