Kobe needs to just say "fuck it all" and explode for the next 4 games I think he is trying way too hard to get a team game going.... It's not working, they need the black mamba to just bash the mavs

No, the Lakers have just been exposed for the overrated team they are. Sure they won two straight championships. But I got so sick of people saying during the regular season that the Lakers are just bored or don't care or some shit. Are they still just "bored?"

It's not working, they need the black mamba to just bash the mavs Kobe doesn't have it in him. Black Mamba doesn't exist anymore. If Kobe still had anything left in the tank we would have seen it tonight -- we didn't. He could score 45 points per game against this team, they have nobody who can guard him. However, Black Mamba Kobe is no more, as sad as it is to say. It's just sad that he's going to have to go out this way. He can't even will them to victories anymore. LA won't win another title with Kobe at the helm. It isn't even like the Lakers are playing particularly bad. They have been in all 3 games, they've had advantages in the 4th for 2/3 of the games. They can't close out though. Dallas' defense is so crisp, they're executing perfectly, and hitting their shots. LA is playing decently and still losing because right now Dallas is just a better team than them in every facet. You are right though... if LA is going to win this series, Kobe needs to take 30 shots a game and make a statement himself. I just don't think he has it in him anymore.

The Lakers' defense continues to baffle me. They switch when they don't need to, help when they don't need to, and the result was wide open 3s for Dallas all game. It seemed at one point that the Lakers defense was working better because they were catching up and even had the lead for a while, but I saw it more as Dallas not being able to make the open shots they were getting. Eventually they were going to start falling, and there it was in the fourth quarter. I saw both Kobe and Shannon repeatedly slow in defensive rotations and/or failing to recover after the second or third pass, often resulting them standing and not guarding anyone while a Mavs player got an open 3. No excuse for Odom allowing Peja to get so many open 3s in the fourth as well, as the Mavs were really only scoring through Dirk and Peja for most of that quarter. Also no excuse for Odom not posting up Marion and Peja everytime down the floor when they were guarding him, as neither could defend him at all down there. Instead, the Lakers either don't even bother to try to exploit the mismatches, or Odom gets the ball on the perimeter and tries to take them off the dribble instead of simply backing them down or catching the ball in the post. Not to take any credit from Dallas, who has played very well on both sides of the court, but I have yet to see the Lakers play a good game in this series. The best I've seen is good play for a quarter, but nothing close to 48 or even 30 minutes in a game. Disappointing to say the least.

I have a sick gut feeling that the 2004 Lakers are going to be the first team to come back from being down 1-3 and win the 2004 nba finals vs Detroit. You give them way too much credit. The Lakers were lucky to escape with a game 7 win last year, and Pau and Kobe are just a lot worse now (age?).
