Amazing Lebron digs himself a deeper hole in terms of being a douchebag with that response -.-

Ya. His response to the question about other people wanting him to lose was about as horrible as it could be. Basically it went:

'they can hate me and be happy now, but when they wake up they still aren't millionaries like me and they have to return to their misrable little lives."

Hahaha just imagine MJ in an elimination game in the finals down by only 8. I would bet everything I owned on him getting the W. Lebron is a joke.

I'm so happy Kidd got a ring. Man deserves it, the losses with the Nets were brutal.

You're acting as if Jordan has never played the Pistons.

Your acting like Jordan didn't have great games against those Pistons. He was scoring 30 while being mauled, not figuratively, he had scratches and bruises all over after those series.

Yeah that's not my point.

My point is that looking at the lead, seeing that it's 8 points, then looking at the team and seeing Jordan and betting everything you own on it is a pretty bad decision.

Pretty sure the Pistons weren't the finals.

the west was weak as hell in Jordan's first 3-peat, and his team was absolutely unstoppable in his 2nd.

Lakers, Portland, Phoenix? How is that weak

ok admittedly the Phoenix team was really good, but the Lakers were on their way out, and Portland wasn't great at any rate.

The Lakers weren't "on their way out" until Jordan showed them the door.

Father time showed them the door

Magic retired in Nov 1991 due to getting HIV. The following season, James Worthy had a season-ending knee injury. Both of these players still had some time left (Johnson was 32 and Worthy 30).

The Lakers had Sam Perkins, Vlade Divac, Elden Campbell, and AC Green for big men. Byron Scott was a solid SG.

If Worthy hadn't had an injury that basically ended his career (he was never the same afterwards) and if Magic had not contracted HIV, this team would have been good for another 3-4 years.

Wow...really....

What a dick. The amount of arrogance it takes to even imply something like that is mind boggling. I didn't hate Lebron before but that sure puts my feelings in that direction.

it's half past 6. i am readin posts. news articles. i still cant believe that after 13 years the quest has an end. gratz dirk. grat mavs.

well deserverd the better team came out ahead.

loved how heat stopped.playin defense in the fourth. they fell apart and did not act as a unity.
Things are laid back in Unidenland. And may the road ahead be lid with dreams and tomorrows. Which are lid with dreams. Also.

Congratulations to the Mavs, well deserved. Kidd winning a championship fixed one of the greatest travesties of the NBA for the last decade. Dirk as well. Those guys played a team game, with a lot of heart, a ton of brains, and astounding resilience.

And the Heat just looked brilliant when Chalmers/Wade/Bosh were on the floor. LeBron needs to learn to mesh with those guys some more - it's not the Cleveland Show anymore.

I'm SO glad Jason Kidd got a ring. The amount of times he was left out of "top players" conversations was astounding. This guy made Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson All-Stars and went up against the juggernaut Western Powers in the Finals. Just goes to show that scoring isn't the only thing that makes you a great player.

As for Lebron I'm a bit torn on him. Every single game this series he played passive. Like I could understand 1 or 2 games of laid back ball, but he really just didn't show the killer instinct like Wade did. I don't put as much into the "will to win" as others since it's a very rare thing for superstars but he worries me. Even Mario Chalmers seemed to want it more than he did.

Indeed...I'm a fan of players before teams (hehe probably just me), and supported the heat mostly because Wade/James were on it lol... (i.e. I'm fan of Khan only because of stork ><)

Poor kid...the world must be weighing down on him now...he left Cavs because he wanted a title, formed a semi-dream team on the Heat, everyone thought the Heat would take a while to settle in, the Heat instead got all the way to the Finals, yet they ended up losing to the Mavs, and James was a big part of the reason they lost...whatever legacy he had before must have been hit pretty hard...media is going to roast him alive T.T

Well they will roast him. But if he wins? Almost all will be forgotten. Look at Kobe before 08 and Dirk after 07. They were brutalized in the media. Win and people leave you alone.

Even though Lebron caught a lot of flack I don't think it's on the level of hate MJ got before he won his first title.

I actually thought Bosh played really well throughout the playoffs, probably the Heat's most consistent player. His stock was really low during the regular season, but in the playoffs we saw why big men who can score are so valuable.
This season Bosh worked on his game to fit in on the Heat. Wade and James did not, they still have the same games as when they were rookies, just a bit improved: Out your head down and leverage your superior athleticism then throw up a shot and hope for a call.

Bosh was off and on, with Wade being their most consistent player in every series except vs Chicago. Bosh's defense was under rated, but some of his decisions on offense were mind boggling. With Brian Cardinal or Ian Mahini on you, you just have to go to the rack.

I still think you're misreading Wade and James games. Neither of them even look like their rookie selves, especially Lebron who shoots a lot more jumpers. Wade also plays lots of back door and sneaking in the paint where as in his rookie and sophmore years he was just a slasher. His 3rd year he got a mid range game and that was the end of that.

I don't disagree with you at all Ace, I mean obviously they are better players with some more diverse options. However, far and away the best play for both of them is still drive to the hole, hard. Both need to work on some sort of pivot misdirection move, especially for when they hit thier 30s and lose some of the speed/hops.

Oh dear... that's really is the very worst possible response he could have given...he gave them another reason to hate him...poor guy, if he at least was good-mannered, or heck, even if he had said that he would dispel the attacks by doing well next year, it would have been better than this. I guess it's the anger speaking? :[

LeBron didn't really word it like that. I think that's where he was going, but it was worded ambiguously enough that no one in the media can really go after him for it.

Can Nash get his ring next?! It would be so fitting to have Dirk and Nash win back to back. Too bad with the Suns' current team, it's very unlikely.. Why couldn't they have won last year!

He never said millionaire but he was VERY clearly going down this road, and half way (after he already said they have to wake up an return to their own real life) he tried to tone it down and change it because I think he realized it was a douche bag thing to say.

His intent was more than clear enough to justify the media going after him imo. I'm sure they will too.

That's just sad man. They totally had a LEGIT shot to win this and just fell short. I understand him not beating himself over it but he just didn't play Championship caliber basketball and seems to think he did no wrong.
