I'm so happy Kidd got a ring. Man deserves it, the losses with the Nets were brutal. You're acting as if Jordan has never played the Pistons. Your acting like Jordan didn't have great games against those Pistons. He was scoring 30 while being mauled, not figuratively, he had scratches and bruises all over after those series.
Yeah that's not my point.
My point is that looking at the lead, seeing that it's 8 points, then looking at the team and seeing Jordan and betting everything you own on it is a pretty bad decision.

Congrats to Dallas! One of the best series I've seen in a long time. Very exciting back and forth game.
How are people in Germany feeling about the NBA finals right now?

Well that's true, but people seem to point to the Pistons without recalling the "Jordan Rules", the Bulls win all those series under the current rules/refereeing.

And Dirk finally winning his ring makes me glad. Eh, I'm obv not a Heat fan, but let's look at what they did: * 2nd best record in the East * beat Boston and Chicago 4-1 each * lost NBA Finals 4-2... notably, in the last 2 games Dallas shot 24/45 from 3 point range
Miami can bring in a missing role player (perhaps better center?) and tweak their strategy a little bit. This group is eventually going to win a championship and should be favorites to get back next season unless Chicago adds another good scorer.
Dallas should be really good next season too. Caron Butler was supposed to be one of the key players this season - a SF who averaged 15 pts and 4 reb per game and can play SG as needed. Brendan Haywood is a quality backup center who they were without for half of this series.
C: Chandler/Haywood PF: Nowitzki/Cardinal SF: Butler/Marion SG: Terry/Stevenson PG: Kidd/Barea
Might look to upgrade their backup PF or add a defensive specialist PG. But when your "holes" are things like that, you're in a pretty good situation

If the Mavs keep this team, and Butler + Haywood are at full str on top of what they had tonight, then that team is going to be tough to beat next year (or the year after that based on work stopage shit).
That is a big if though.

A short work stoppage would be great for the Mavs. A little extra rest couldn't hurt a team who has 2 of its best players over the age of 30.

the west was weak as hell in Jordan's first 3-peat, and his team was absolutely unstoppable in his 2nd.

So happy that Dirk + Dallas finally have a ring. Everyone's grown so much over the years, not just players but Cuban too.
I think Dallas will still be strong next year but I'm not so sure they can win again. It's pretty tiring playing all the way through to the finals and having no rest to begin the next season when you're as old as the mavs. But if they get some rest and Butler comes back I can see them in the finals again.

Exactly the opposite, once you hit 31-32, your body starts degrading pretty fast from its peak. Dirk's less effected because he's a tall jumpshooter, but there will be things that he can't do that he used to.

Hahaha i thought this one was funny

hopefully germany appreciates now what dirk achieved over the last years, he never was sportsman of the year in germany, always some soccer players or shitty skiers.
