I think the Heat win that 9/10. Kudos to the Jazz for never giving in there. I thought they were gone on at least two occasions there, but they kept going.
When you give up a 22 point lead, you played poorly, doesn't matter how you cut it.

chris bosh is overrated. he was the best player on a bad team(toronto). that was pretty much it. he comes to miami which has a superstar in dwade, and he just becomes another role player.
kobe is still the lakers' mvp, not the league mvp per say because when he is the lakers' largest threat. Gasol is probably top three centers in the league and he's probably going to be the Laker's most consistent force being so tall and skilled down low. Kobe's presence allows his teammates to their best because teams are afraid of Kobe and his potential. He could go 0-10 in the 1st half then go 20-20 in the 2nd half if he wanted to.
Now back to the Heat, they've lost games to teams with extremely skilled point guards (Rondo, D Will, CP3). I'm not basketball expert, just a fan of my hometown's losing team, but after watching a few games of Miami, I noticed that they tend to go pretty small in their lineup yet they can't seem to stop the point guard of the other team. I think it goes back to the Heat's relatively small inside game where once the ball gets inside, the Heat crash the inside to makeup for their lack of size allowing an easy kickout pass or a score on the inside.

MVP candidates: Lebron, Kobe, Wade, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Durant
More Players generally regarded as better than Chris Bosh: Dirk Nowitzki, Carmelo
Players around the same level: Pau Gasol (I'd put him higher), Deron Williams (higher), Steve Nash (I expect him to be lower, than somehow he winds up being MVP-eqsue), Amare (I'd put lower), Tim Duncan (post 2009 lower)
Then there's Brandon Roy, Josh Smith, not sure where to put them.
I'd say that Danny Granger, Brandon Roy, Russell Westbrook, Derrick Rose, Tyreke Evans, Paul Pierce, KG (maybe not, but KG pwns Bosh head to head everytime), Gerald Wallace are all definetly better than him.
Also probably: Al Horford, Joakim Noah, John Wall and Blake Griffin too.
He's top 50 for sure though.

Omg the Heat is making such a poor beginning so far... I m kinda happy that the Jazz won yesterday though, it was a nice 4th quarter
Lakers are still undefeated! way to go champs!

Can someone please tell me what happened to Tracy Mcgrady AKA T-Mac?
How do you go from superstar to complete grub? Jason Kidd overcame knee surgery, Grant Hill overcame knee surgery, even Kenyon Martin overcame knee surgery. Why is T-mac playing like such a bench warmer?

Wow, Utah. This Deron Williams-Al Jefferson-Paul Milsap combination is looking extremely potent right now.

Actually having AK healthy is huge for Utah's defense, and is part of the reason that team is looking so dangerous right now. Watching the Miami game, then the Orlando one tonight.... that is a dangerous team.

I missed the Orlando game as I woke up late. Has AK reverted to his old self from ~4 years ago? If so then they've gotten back an elite wing defender and jack of all trades.
So far I've been hearing Al Jefferson put on a clinic on Dwight Howard. Didn't know Utah's defense was getting back to it's old level. This might be a dangerous year in the West.

More humor from ESPN, Hollinger's allegedly mathematically based power ranking: http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerrankings
The 5-3 Heat #1. Rated at 113. When 5-2, they were 112. Getting owned by Milsap increases your power. Milwaukee (4-5) and Phoenix (3-4) at 6 & 7, ahead of Utah and the 6-1 San Antonio.

Great article on the matchup zone that allowed the Jazz to make their comeback against the Magic. I think having a mobile lanky guy like AK was huge in making it work, especially in the clip where he follows his man to the opposite corner and races back to his corner to challenge a 3.

Dwayne Wade has 2 points at the half on Darko-esque shooting?

D-Wade has to realize that it's not all about him anymore and start playing like a team. As a player he's a top 3 for sure, but as a teammate he has a long ways to go.
|
what? D-Wade is the ultimate team player what are you talking about :/
Wade has 2 points because Boston's D has taken them out of the game for now.
I also hope the Rondo hate will finally stop. If you're watching this game he has a whopping 9 assists at halftime and this game shows it's just not "pass to some guy and he hits a shot" like some misinformed fans think it is.

ray allen's 3 @ 9:45~
ray goes into far corner, rondo passes the ball to him, celtics dont even move up and then just start walking back as the pass is made. ray's 3 is good.
boston is just toying with them.

lol rondo's assists are pretty laughable. All he does is pass it to ray allen, whos draining threes like no other atm, lobbing it to the centre for kg to just tip in which requires no skill watsoever.

Haha, without having calvo26's condescending attitude, he is kinda right. Rondo is rack up assists like it's nothing.
