Why the hell did Portland go for a 2 with 8 seconds left in overtime, after they used their last time out? Which is more likely, a 3 after some ball movement or Probability of (making a 2, getting a steal, making a basket) + probability of (making a 2, fouling, thunders free throws, traveling the entire length of the floor and getting a basket in about 4 seconds).

Isiah Thomas wants to return to the knicks
Asked if he hopes to replace Donnie Walsh whenever the 69-year-old Knicks president retires, Thomas said, "Every single day of the week."
"When I look at my GM/executive record, if I'm evaluated on that, then whoever's after Donnie, if you're not talking about some of the top people in the game, I'll put my draft evaluation record up against anyone's."
Dear god no... I don't care if you're the best drafter evaluator in the world, but it doesn't mean shit if you don't understand how the salary cap works and hand out big ass contracts to fatasses like eddy curry (who's too fat to practice without getting injured) and jerome james (who had ONE good playoff series against Tim Duncan). Good draft evaluators who doesn't understand the salary cap = scouts not GMs.
Honestly IMO the best GMs in the game tend to be a really smart Ivy league graduates. I love the houston's/thunder/ex-portland GMs. The scariest thing is that Thomas will probably get a 2nd stint because we have an idiotic owner who either is in love or is getting blatantly blackmailed by thomas.
P.S. I heard kevin pitchard is unemployed. Please give him a call

Haha when I read that thing about Isiah I couldn't believe it. I would laugh so hard if he got to return to the Knicks.

They actually added more to the article.

Isiah Thomas is one of those people with a silky smooth tongue that can talk himself out of any situation. I remember watching a NBA game one time when he was still working as a commentator for NBC and my mom made a comment "Oh he's pretty handsome for a black guy" and my dad agrees. Note that my parents are Chinese, they're old school and they hate black people. When Garnet got traded to the Celtics and he was on the front page of the Chinese newspaper, their first comment was "Wow, he's like the blackest (darkest) black man in the NBA". Okay, my parents don't even know English and basically are generally racist, but they love Isiah Thomas. This is how charming Isiah Thomas is... he transcends racism and language barriers.
Also I can't believe he's trying to sell that he had a 5 freaking year plan (Curry was signed in '05-'06) and instantly had a vision/plan to sign Lebron (who was just a sophmore at the time AND was in his rookie contract) in 2010. How the hell are you going to figure that Fat Curry would magically "give up" his $11 mil option year just to sign Lebron? Curry is such a fat PoS and the only reason he averaged 19 ppg for the knicks in that one 'good' season is because Isiah was the coach at the time and they did nothing but fed him the ball in the post. The next thing you're going to say is that you signed Jerome James for exactly X amount of years so that his contract would expire EXACTLY when lebron's non-existent extension expires. I think a better excuse would be "I figured that curry would be either dead or retired from a heart attack by 2010, he foiled my plan by being too fat because he's been sitting at home doing nothing for the past 3-4 years".
Also if you're great at drafting and evaluating draft picks... duno maybe you shouldn't sell every single first round draft pick we 'earned'. I'll admit Thomas was pretty gosu at drafting gems in the 2nd/late first round but imagine if we had those noah/aldridge picks? it could of been noah/broy or noah/rondo instead. this article is making me rage -_-
(Oh on another note, that Oden/Durant/Noah 2007 draft class was awful. I was trying to look up players that were better than him at 9th pick and I couldn't find anyone. The only all stars on that team is Durant and Horford and it doesn't look too promising for the rest of the draft... except for maybe Noah)

Wow, nice of him to throw that in about his parents. Lol.
Soo, for Detroit fans, after Stuckey got benched and we lost again, Stuckey may not play today against Charlotte, or he might come off the bench. And this is with the back up point and Rip Hamilton injured. This coach is a genius saboteur or a gigantic bitch, IMHO Not going to watch if Stuckey is not playing. It really blows to watch the season go the way it went for New Jersey last year (except they actually WANTED to tank on purpose).

man going through the top ten highest paid athletes (not including their ads/endorsements/whatever) was a huge mindfuck. rashard lewis at #2 was a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge wtf
|
Last year : Shaq - $21,000,000 KG - $16,417,044 JO - $23,016,000 Pierce - $19,795,712 Allen - $18,776,860
so beastly compared, Shaq essentially replaced Scalabrine, lolz.
The Orlando power forward would be higher on the list -- but his 10-game suspension at the beginning of the season for an elevated testosterone level cost him $1.6 million of his $18 million salary.
ouch 1.6 million

Yeah I took a look at the roster for the magic before the season started and saw he was the highest paid player. No wonder they can't get it done come playoff time.

I just looked at the schedule and apparently the Clippers are on ESPN twice in a row. What a joke.
Edit: That's three times the Clippers will have been on ESPN in three weeks. Someone there must have a serious hard-on for Blake Griffin
