Or maybe he was raging that Garnett said he's a cancer to the team he's on since they've always been losing? Also the fact that they got destroyed?
At the end of the day who cares? If they want to trash talk then let them. I don't see why you're so upset that KG is out there hurting feelings on the court.

That and Kuester has no offensive or defensive philosophy at all. Stuckey was starting to learn to play defense, but has dropped off since. Tayshaun can still play but he really needs someone at his back. Rip is still a great ball defender, but he's hurt. And yeah, Ben is still pretty decent but when he's playing opposite Charlie V, it really doesn't matter.
This team feels like the new Knicks.
The Pistons probably should have been 3-1 by now. Tayshaun is OK but he runs the offense too much, and actually ISOs himself(?!). When he is not doing that he plays his role well, usually. I think Kuester is a horrible coach. I have no idea what he is trying to do on offense, but our plays are pretty awful.. Like using 8 seconds to slowly get the ball of and simply dump it to Tayshaun, or to dump it to Ben Wallace far from the basket and run around screens while people back off of him. On defense I don't know if it is him or the players who are to blame. His rotations are pretty awful too, and he never seems to make any adjustments. Good god, he put Austin Daye on Kevin Garnett last night. Ever since the 34-9 4th quarter in Chicago and through yesterday's game the Piston players seem to have given up. After this loss Kuester called out the players for having a leadership void (seems like a self indictment). Tayshaun responded and said it was on Kuester too. T_T Ben Gordon basically implied that after the Chicago game, too. No leadership on this team, basically. I think the talent is way better than their record. Even if the talent hasn't washed up, it's a team full of SG/SFs. It's the most awful combination of players in the NBA. GREG MONROE WAS OUR LEADING REBOUNDER LAST NIGHT. EDIT: And that's not a show of optimism for Greg Monroe. That's an indictment of how much we suck. You might as well show optimism for Monroe, he had 10 rebounds in 18 minutes, most of them were contested against Boston's starters. Other than that Boston humiliated the Pistons on the inside last night. It was awful but just one game. I really do not think we have too many SGs/SFs. Just one extra, basically. IMO Stuckey, Gordon, and Bynum is a elite backcourt. BTW TMac has looked very good in tonight's game. Can't resist thinking how nice it'd be if he was in 2006 form for 20 mpg. The Pistons are up in the 3rd on the Road vs the unbeaten Hawks atm. TBH I feel the Pistons should be 3-1 right now, possibly should be 4-1 after tonight :O I don't know whose Kool-Aid you're drinking but Stuckey is a SG and Bynum is a scoring guard in the body of a PG. Our big men are Ben, Charlie V (worthless on defense), Summers (too small), Maxiell (way too small), Daye (weighs as much as a SNSD girl) and Monroe who was 1-7 and had terrible hands.

They're both idiots and they both lack credibility. The proper response from CharlieV is to actually play well and with some aggression, and when the press asks you why you were playing so well, you drop the bomb during the presser. You don't get dominated as a team, play soft and then whine about it on the internet later.

Well, one would hope Daye won't last long at PF... Another one of Kuester's crazy line ups. CV is a great option for a backup PF and an above average starter.
I really wouldn't say Monroe has terrible hands so far, for a rookie who has seen such limited minutes.
No comment on Stuckey, there are a lot of factors and I don't want to make a long post. He's definitely at least a good PG.

The problem is, trash talking used to be great because if it crossed the line you could just kick the guy's ass and get a simple ejection with no suspension. If CV were to slug KG yesterday, he'd probably miss 10 games and lose a good amount of salary, so the only way to get even is to smear his reputation in the media. Now that it's out there, I consider the comment appalling and wanted to write about it, which is the point of a discussion board.

If Durant plays like he's 7'2", CV plays like he's 5'10". I would rather have Darius Miles as a PF than CV.
This 4th quarter meltdown is going to be a regular thing all season for the Pistons, and once again CV is getting abused over and over again.
|
^Did you catch the player reactions to the coach?
Not to blame everything on him but it is quite challenging to win with this guy.

CV is such a softie. I don't think he's ever been on a good/decent team (best might be a ~.500 team). Generally I think a player is overrated if they get regularly good stats on a shit team. (IE jamal crawford... monta ellis... possibly al jefferson).
Garnet i known to talk a shit ton of trash. They have those yearly polls at SportsIllustrated where they poll a bunch of NBA players with questions like... "Who's the fastest player in the NBA?... best defender... quickest player..." etc. Well Garnet is regularly on top of the "Trash talking" poll/list

Ok I agree with that then. If CV would have decked Garnett I would have actually loved it. I'm just saying I don't understand why CV is making a big deal of it as if he played spectacular on the court. KG just added insult to injury and CV couldn't hide his anger
@craze: Jamal Crawford is actually pretty good. I think he made the mistake of not leaving a bad team early on in his career and suffered that stigma.
ETA: God DAMN. So many blowouts tonight, bad for my fantasy teams

Can we all take a moment to think what life would be like if cancer really was like CV? One pump fake and it'd be off you already.
Instead of going through chemo, you could just put a hand in its face and it would stop attacking.

good for mine, KLOVE getting the minutes he deserves and i have him on all three, 29 minutes baby, those are almost starter minutes.
My deep league secret pick Josh McRoberts got 20 minutes for Indiana as well, and stuffed the sheet accordingly, 3 steals 1 block, 2 threes, and in the same league i somehow got Elton Brand as well, what a steal, 25-12, with 2 blocks, 7/7 from the line.

It came down to them in the final two. Imagine if Memphis had won the coinflip -- Lebron would have joined Pau Gasol, Mike Miller, and Shane Battier. That completely alters the basketball dynamic for the next 10 years. Kobe probably never gets Gasol, or another title, and probably doesn't stay in LA. Lebron possibly gets many. God damn. Although Simmons thinks Lebron would have left after his rookie contact was up. Still, amazing how much a 50/50 lottery pick could change history. Knowing the mephis grizzlies, chris wallace/the owner would still fuck it up with Lebron/gasol/miller/battier. Honestly the two most important parts of a team is probably a non-intrusive owner (fuck you James Dolan) and a good GM. .
Eh? That year Detroit had Memphis' pick, that is how they got Darko.

lol @ Jibba:
@Holcan: I have K-love on all three of my teams too. But the Philly-Indiana, Miami games, and the start of the Utah-Toronto game all boded bad for the minutes I'd have.
Good thing I drafted Utah players I guess.

I'm pretty sure the trade was protected if Memphis got the overall first pick. Ie, if Memphis drafted 1st, they keep it, and Detroit gets Memphis's pick the next year.

ya, i definitely didnt do as well tonight as i was hoping, but still some of the garbage games gave me good production from garbage players. My best team is going up against Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol, and Joe Johnson and with those two bigs dominating playing time and Joe Johnson, im in need of a miracle to catch up in FG%, assists, rebounds, so this (2) week is probably a wash for me unless i can manage a tie or Durant shows me some love.

god DAMN Bogut got posterized.
and then Garnett elbows him.
Jesus.

I don't understand why Bogut would get so upset about that. KG looked like he was just celebrating and not intentionally trying to hurt Bogut.
