Well you really can't deny Garnett's claim...but yeah still a douchebag.

That and Kuester has no offensive or defensive philosophy at all. Stuckey was starting to learn to play defense, but has dropped off since. The Pistons probably should have been 3-1 by now. Tayshaun is OK but he runs the offense too much, and actually ISOs himself(?!). When he is not doing that he plays his role well, usually. I think Kuester is a horrible coach. I have no idea what he is trying to do on offense, but our plays are pretty awful.. Like using 8 seconds to slowly get the ball of and simply dump it to Tayshaun, or to dump it to Ben Wallace far from the basket and run around screens while people back off of him. On defense I don't know if it is him or the players who are to blame. His rotations are pretty awful too, and he never seems to make any adjustments. Good god, he put Austin Daye on Kevin Garnett last night. Ever since the 34-9 4th quarter in Chicago and through yesterday's game the Piston players seem to have given up. After this loss Kuester called out the players for having a leadership void (seems like a self indictment). Tayshaun responded and said it was on Kuester too. T_T Ben Gordon basically implied that after the Chicago game, too. No leadership on this team, basically. I think the talent is way better than their record. Even if the talent hasn't washed up, it's a team full of SG/SFs. It's the most awful combination of players in the NBA.
GREG MONROE WAS OUR LEADING REBOUNDER LAST NIGHT.
EDIT: And that's not a show of optimism for Greg Monroe. That's an indictment of how much we suck.

KG's response:
“I am aware there was a major miscommunication regarding something I said on the court last night. My comment to Charlie Villanueva was in fact ‘You are cancerous to your team and our league.’ I would never be insensitive to the brave struggle that cancer patients endure. I have lost loved ones to this deadly disease and have a family member currently undergoing treatment. I would never say anything that distasteful. The game of life is far bigger than the game of basketball.”
AHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH
EDIT: Just so we're clear, all reports I've ever heard from journalists, ball boys, etc. that worked with KG is that he is, indeed, a complete douche bag with an 8th grade education.
EDIT2: Charlie V is a cancer to the team and the league, and even though KG is a dick, given it's trash talk and the point of trash talk, I don't think it's that bad. Ultimately it's about making your opponent play worse and given CharlieV is a little softie, it probably worked.
When you think about his full tweet, CharlieV is the exact definition of an e-thug. What a joke.

It's strange you don't find this humorous especially once you look at Charlie V. Sportsmen talk trash on the battlefield non-stop, this is nothing to be offended with. You are trying to blow this out of the water, just like Charlie V did (KG response was hilarious, he probably had whole team work on coming up with this reply).
All of this reminded me of a joke I heard at the restaurant - guy called someone "a retard" and our chef came up to him saying "well you know what buddy, my sister is actually retarded". Kitchen went silent for a minute than everyone started laughing. Take it easy.

Holy crap, I was reading through Simmons' Book of Basketball's 'what if?' section, and came across number 10: What if Memphis instead of Cleveland landed Lebron?
It came down to them in the final two. Imagine if Memphis had won the coinflip -- Lebron would have joined Pau Gasol, Mike Miller, and Shane Battier. That completely alters the basketball dynamic for the next 10 years. Kobe probably never gets Gasol, or another title, and probably doesn't stay in LA. Lebron possibly gets many. God damn. Although Simmons thinks Lebron would have left after his rookie contact was up. Still, amazing how much a 50/50 lottery pick could change history.

If it's strange that I don't find it humorous, and it's nothing to get offended with, then explain the spin job orchestrated by the Garnett PR camp. If it were nothing serious, he would either apologize or just deflect questions with "No comment!" and wait until the story dies 4 hours later, instead of issuing a lie to the press to save face.
I love trash talking, and I wish the rules on techs would be lax again like 20 years ago, but there is a line and KG crossed it. Hell, even the biggest Boston homer on the face of the earth (Bill Simmons) finds that comment indefensible. This is the same guy who made light of MJ trash talking Drexler at Dream Team practice until the latter's confidence was ruined for 2+ years and his game collapsed.

Looks like I'm going to the Pistons game Sunday against Golden State. Hopefully the Pistons win D:

Why are you assuming it's true? And Simmons said it would be indefensible IF it was true.

Knowing the mephis grizzlies, chris wallace/the owner would still fuck it up with Lebron/gasol/miller/battier. Honestly the two most important parts of a team is probably a non-intrusive owner (fuck you James Dolan) and a good GM.
I'm not sure if I like the Grizzlies giving Conely $40 mil over 5 years. It's not a HORRIBLE deal, but I'd like to see him prove himself more (esp right before a new CBA) before doling out the cash. At worst, he'll be a restricted agent and you can match the market price for him.

Orlando has 78 at the half vs Minnesota.
Poor Kevin Love.

If you want to go the "innocent until proven guilty" route, then it's interesting that you immediately blamed the refs in the Rondo/Perkins incident during last year's playoffs, with no proof/knowledge of what was actually said on the court.

You might as well show optimism for Monroe, he had 10 rebounds in 18 minutes, most of them were contested against Boston's starters. Other than that Boston humiliated the Pistons on the inside last night. It was awful but just one game.
I really do not think we have too many SGs/SFs. Just one extra, basically. IMO Stuckey, Gordon, and Bynum is a elite backcourt.
BTW TMac has looked very good in tonight's game. Can't resist thinking how nice it'd be if he was in 2006 form for 20 mpg.
The Pistons are up in the 3rd on the Road vs the unbeaten Hawks atm. TBH I feel the Pistons should be 3-1 right now, possibly should be 4-1 after tonight :O

Just looking at the Pistons roster, you could easily say "Lock for playoffs, especially in the East." But they don't play that way : /

Currently the Pistons coach is benching Stuckey in favor of someone no one knows exists, DaJuan Summers............ Sigh.

Oh I don't know. Maybe because after seeing CVs tweet about taking Garnett on 1 vs 1 I thought he was just raging and made a big deal about KG. I don't see how something that happened in game has any correlation with off the court comments.
