Trick is to have access to BOTH AH's, since there are very good deals on RMAH that you can turn into more gold or resell for more cash.

Diablo is a game for me which I sometimes want to play when I dont have a lot of time. So 20-30min blocks. Sure sometimes I do have my 3hour sessions. Prior to the patch I could do 5 elites (5 NV) and 1 boss (i.e. Siegebreaker) in that time and would get 2 guaranteed rares. Post patch this is down to 1 rare. Not killing the boss but killing an additional elite pack will also result in only one rare - 2 packs are not really viable due to time constraints (finding 2 packs instead of knowing where the boss is). Sure in long sessions it's better to farm more elites and not remake the game after the boss is dead (since the next 5 packs which you would just use to farm NV up again are 5 guaranteed rares now). And that's good (since it's their design intention). Imho they should've kept the 2 guaranteed rares from bosses so it's basically: If you play a short session: nothing changes. If you play a long session: go hunt more elites - it's worth your time. Overall I think they should try to make the different farming methods equal and thus adding variety instead of forcing one method down players throats. Players who can play in small intervalls are imho hurt by this patch. | ||

not coming back until you fix your boring items, but until then im afraid you will cut even more stuff playing HC was fun sometimes but its like disregarding everything what is wrong with the game and pigeonholing myself into survival, running gobo getting 2 millions ---> spend on ah, try packs hard (yes/no) if yes go back or die, if you dont die go back to gobo get 2million ---> spend on ah, try packs hard ? (yes/no) .... die now what, level ---> 60? ----> gobo repeat but all of this would be fine if items were interesting, i remember hoarding many uniques in d2 so when my main char died i still had fun while leveling, there is no fun in leveling in d3, really  and lack of viable multiple builds is total contradiction to what blizzard was saying... its not like u can go bowazon, javazon, and 2 hipster builds, you can go 1 build lol | ||

I get the 'boring' items point, i loved it to gather uniques/sets etc. but when you look at d2 classic - there were so few uniques, i think there werent even sets ( correct me if im mistaken ), i have the feeling they are holding a lot back for a future expansion, which i dont realy like but i can understand. but im with you that this is a 'make it or break it' patch, my hopes are realy high, lets see in the next weeks how it works out. | ||
