With the Demon Hunter high end buff, Gromm buff, and now this I stand to make so much money. Maybe Ill go double or triple 7970's afterall! it will be curious if it actually results in less ilvl63s into the economy considering act1/2 can drop them now and the vast, vast majority of players are stuck in act1/2. I'm sure a math whiz could whip something out and get it going. As someone who has farmed act3 since about the 2nd week of the game, it's pretty discouraging to see that farming got even worse. oh well, dota2 and sc2 until game is fixed.

There was no challenge in killing things in Diablo 2 either so it doesn't matter that killing elites isn't hard. You had to search for randomly generated stairs to get to almost every farm location in Diablo 2 as well. I'm not seeing any difference personally. The advantage to fighting elites is that they have randomly generated affixes so there is some variety in what you're killing. TLDR at bottom I can see your logic in how a new mob type in a different location isn't monotonous but i can't agree with you; after running into 7 consecutive invulnerable mobs in one day i have to say i'd rather do belial and azmo runs. The things that I liked the most in D2 were the repeated runs with lots of people followed by trading for that one item I really wanted. It sucked that people would fight for loot after every run but there were so many going on it didn't matter. Please note though that i was never a hardcore D2 player I mainly just played for the bosses (mini slot machines) and bartering if i didn't get what I wanted from the bosses. Trading was fun as long as you were up front and specific about what you had and what you wanted. This could be achieved through trading forums mainly because most people popped into trading games and dropped a "what u got" which meant "log on all your mules and show me shit i don't want". In d3 there is no mini slot machine, bartering is kinda around but between the RMAH and gold AH split it's pretty rough. Not to mention battle net is pretty sucky. But the main thing that makes me sad is that there's no specific item that i'm gunning for. nothing for me to see at the end of a grind session. I tried to make a list of specific items with specific stats I wanted to go for. But in the end they suck compared to rares because they have a stupid 3-5% chance to fear/chill/slow/freeze instead of the ever needed All Resist. And the set/legendary items with AR are insanely over priced. The only legendary that I found worth keeping is a 19% IAS Dead mans and a pair of Blackthornes pants with near perfect rolls for what I want. I say near, because it didn't roll all resist and it'll be up on the AH for an insane price once i find pants to replace it. TLDR; I personally prefer boss runs (mini slot machines) and I wish d3 had specific items that I wanted. Right now 99% of set/legendary items suck and there's nothing to aim for besides a new rare with a random name and slightly higher random stats that I don't care about.

Once you reach a certain gear level you won't have problems with any elites so that really isn't a reason to hate it though. Invulnerable mobs will pose certain challenges, but when they aren't unbeatable they will be more fun to kill than the exact same boss over and over again. If the ilvl 63 droprate was actually lowered that significantly though (~25% -> 8%) I will retract what I said on the previous pages about it being fine. There were plenty of good items before if you had enough MF and gear to farm efficiently. That is an absurd nerf though ^_^

That is an absurd nerf though ^_^ It's just personal pref on the boss vs mob runs but I think the main problem i have right now is aiming for a nameless item with slightly higher rolls on boring stats. There's no end game plan/setup of specific items for me to shoot for which is... disheartening? I don't know how to put it. It just sucks that the rarest items in the game are usually worse than 6 property crafted items.

I think he's the hardest inferno boss in the game right now.

Good Change. really? no way act 3 had 25% iLVL63 ?

I used to farm Iskatu for major dosh (MF/GF gear surprisingly sells for tons of money) back in pre-1.0.3. but it never felt like a 25% ilvl 63 drop rate. And it feels just fine IMO. I do Act 3 runs and get a handful of ilvl63s; five for all of act 3? Try the first 1/3rd of act 3. It doesn't mean they're great stats though. ![]()

Act III drop rate is definitely not the same as pre-patch and I refuse to believe it was a bad day of luck for a group of players.

8 percent is way low, and thats why we are all getting low tier rares by the droves.
