Now you just select 6 skills to take with you and no pumping skills into things. The concept of builds is removed as well.
No stats No skill trees/points No offline/singleplayer (must be online at all times) No LAN Able to buy characters and items with real money

People are acting like they just ruined Diablo even though item selling was very prevalent throughout the series. The only difference is that Blizzard now endorses this.
What people should really be talking about is if they should have made it so items bind to accounts, because if there wasn't soulbinding, people would just sell items through a 3rd party.

Why would Blizzard endorse this, it's like being able to purchase gold directly from Blizzard for USD in WoW, which is explicitly against the ToS of that game.. Except now they're designing their business plan around it? Give me a break Blizzard. You are NOT BUYING GOLD. You are buying loot from OTHER PLAYERS. It is the same as buying from 3rd party websites like in Diablo 2, lots of players would buy from random websites with the risk of being scammed. This takes all of the risk away, and makes it instant. Good on Blizzard for doing this. Hm, buy a BoE item for 10 dollars USD, sell said item to player in game for 100gold, the exchange rate becomes 10gold/1USD. How is this not buying gold? Because you're not directly buying it. Seriously, are you stupid?

so from what i understand : there are no skill points anymore, and you will be facing belial and azmodan, AS WELL AS THE 3 BROTHERS
thats nice, i dont know about this no skill points though
Source
its german sry, but it says : player has 6 slots for active and 3 slots for passive skills, there are no talent points anymore. Some skills are automaticly increased with a lvl up.
there are no talenttrees/skilltrees (?) wtf

You guys sure love to get mad over things. They are selling licenses to do the trading, so yes, they are profiting to an extent. Again, it has nothing to do (for me, at least) with the fact that other websites do it. It has to do with the fact that the company directly supports it. Because it would get done either way. What don't you get about that? Open your eyes.
Are you... being serious? It didn't have to be done.
It could have not been done, and the websites could have continued to operate as they did.
Letting something occur is different from actively supporting it.

That being said. I am furious. This new Real Cash auction shop is a fucking SLAP in the face to the whole CONCEPT of RPG's. it UNDERMINES everything FUCK im pissed off.
This was going on in D2, but on ebay and later jsp rather than through b.net. What's the difference? Also, play hardcore. I'm more pissed about the elimination of skill trees and traits.

I feel like everyone mad right now didn't play Diablo 2 that much. It's literally the same thing except with a better company controlling the RMT.

for me its not about this real money thing, its about no skilltrees.....

12 hrs a day sc2 practice? no!
12 hrs a day diablo 3 farming for real cash? fuck yea!
diablo 3 progamers.

I don't understand all of the outrage... Since we love this game and have experience with the past ones we will be great at it. Because of that we can make real fucking money off of a game we love. People were going to buy and sell items either way but this way it helps support blizzard and let's us get in on the action.

Elimination of skill trees and attributes? What the fuck's the point of playing?

Played from the day it released until 1.10 came out, played off and on since. Some people are aware and still oppose it. Just adding that.

Well that sucks...anyone have a link to a good news site that doesn't freak out about the auction house and actually gives gameplay info?

If you're aware that nothing is changing why do you oppose it?
