Also, AP Kat doesn't make sense to me. Kat's ult only becomes useful later on if you use AP. I mean the Rylai's slow is awesome and you do get additional HP along with the build... But for brute damage, I think AD would be better, yeah? I like to vaporize people in three hits. | ||

my ult damage is just fine with 2 bloodthirsters, and since i have a little AP from rylai's my shunpo isnt ignorable either, and i have enough damage to throw in some decent auto attacks between spells | ||

Item slows (phange/triforce/mallet/rylais) do not stack with each other, but they do stack with abilities and buffs. There is a soft cap at 210ms, with 50% diminishing returns below that. Also, supposedly you can stack warden's/randuin's with another item slow, but I haven't tried it yet. | ||

Unless you want to play her for support, then I guess the Sheen would be a better choice so you can put down more traps and heal more, but that isn't how I think you should play her imo. She has too much potential to take down weak enemies with her cougar skills. And running away from her is almost impossible. first off, both AP and AD kats are viable. for some reason, AP takes more flak but ryzer said it's bad so it must be good. kobe24, probably the best kat on the server, was known for going AP kat. he started doing a weird dorans sword + mallet thingy but i don't know about that. solanir, one of the other top kats, goes a weird AD + sunfire build. i don't really understand it but he pulls it off consistently. i personally build AP and i'll give you a brief explanation. if you want more detailed arguments refer to my older posts in the other thread. AP and AD scale almost identically for lotus in terms of gold per damage. the problem is that AD-providing items aren't nearly as useful as AP providing items (rylais, haunting, zhonyas, void staff). building AD usually means you have to rely on bloodthirsters which is bad since kat dies a lot. also, lotus isn't the focus of a good kat player since 90% of the time you're going to pull off unsatisfactory lotuses. thus you have to rely on voracity chaining your other 3 skills. shunpo is a faster skill to chain then BB and has a longer range. it also allows you to focus on using the damage reduction proc of KI instead of trying to maximize bouncing damage on BB, allowing it to become more efficient. rylais is also one of the single best procs in the game for kat since it turns lotus into a nunu ult, shunpo into a great chasing skill, and BB into a team snare. i build AP nidalee as i find that it provides more late game utility then straight AD and also makes her become the ideal heal team characer. i go dorans, merc, GRB, lichbane, zhonyas as a core. hotshotgg, the best nidalee on the server, goes something similar but adds a brutalizer/youmuus into it. | ||

I don't think we ever got a 100% but based on MM + SS + Locket I'd go ahead and assume Hotshot isn't dumb enough to try things that don't work. He thinks outside the box and does crazy shit but they're usually relatively intelligent things. @Haz I've not been having any problems at all, except for when Verizon went down for a bit. Honestly I'd say it's on your end, either your network setup or your ISP. | ||

Since the nerf to Aegis, Messiah's high-ELO team build has been far less effective. At first I tried replacing it with Heart of Gold, a less team oriented but more selfish item than Aegis. The extra gold is nice especially since tanks already have a hard time farming, but I figure there has to be a more worthwhile investment. Lately I've been trying out something a bit different with fairly good results: Doran's Shield Boots 1 Belt of Giant Strength Mercury Treads Sheen Sunfire Cape Last Whisper or additional sunfire cape/Banshees Veil if I'm still not tanky enough. What do you guys think of that? I also tried brees' build which is like HoG,Mercs,Sunfire X5. It's the only other viable modern Nasus build I've seen, but it's just not as fun  | ||

Hrmm, I feel like we should have something in the FAQ for newer players explaining the abbreviations or terms that we commonly use here like: AP - ability power AD - attack damage MP, MPen, Magic Pen - magic penetration (tbh i get confused sometimes when ppl use MP to talk about Magic Penetration instead of Magic Points, but like 90% of the time they are talking about Magic Penetration - see its context) AP, APen, Armor Pen - armor penetration Flat MP(HP) - usually comes about in the context of discussing runes that give a constant boost to your Mana Points (Hit Points) MP(HP) per level, MP/level - when discussing runes that give a boost to your MP (HP) equal to the amount * your champion's level MP(HP)p5, MP/5 - MP (HP) regenerated every five seconds BD - backdooring, or running around the other team's heroes and/or creeps to attack their buildings/towers CD - cooldown or cooldown reduction, depending on context AS - attack speed MR - magic resist SR - Summoner's Rift, the 5v5 map TT - Twisted Treeline, the 3v3 map MM - Matchmaking etc etc. That's all I can think of now just to get you started for updating the OP, but there are probably a lot more. | ||
