On paper Dark vs TY was by far the best match in the Ro8 but in reality it was by far the worst. And TY out in the Ro8 again. After this disappointment I half expect him to win Blizzcon, just because.

Yes, format + the whole korean field participating offline makes it more prestigious. TY would be good enough to win one probably, but he fails to deliver there :/

I don't mind the scv count so much, he's also just insuring himself against worker harass - although he is overdoing by now. As has been said elsewhere, one has to wonder why he went with that map order. Surely the two last maps would have been the best for TY. Thinking of who he was playing, his strategy seemed particularly bad for those two maps. Of course Dark is gonna tech up as much as he can on Ascension and Acolyte, and he is the best Zerg in the business at defending. Then you probably shouldn't hold off on getting a ghost academy until 16 minutes into the game, as was the case on Acolyte, and just go very unit heavy considering the long rush distance. I don't think that TY could have done much more to kill bases than he did. There were a few misteps (like not reacting to the ling-runby that killed the fourth in game 1 even though his medivac spotted it in advance), but really the two first games where lost against ultras and a few vipers, and TY failed to respond to either of them. Should he really be suprised that this is how Dark did it? It seems that failing to prepare for the player cost the match again.

It was pretty much just as stacked as a Starleague.

I would argue that WeSG was actually an impressive win, but only due to the qualifiers being the biggest bloodbath of last year. The actual event was the easiest money I've ever seen two players get
