The 4-0 just doesn't do TY justice after that game on Abyssal Reef. In that game you could see that they were very evenly matched skill wise. After that, let's try to put ourselves into TY's spot. I mean, you already expect it to be a hard match, playing the best player in the world and to boot, your warm-up match against the foreigner on one of your favorite maps was a debacle. In the first game, on Inno's map, everything goes completely wrong. Then, on your first map choice, you match every step Inno takes for 25 or so minutes, it's a really back and forth, even game, and there are points where you're 100% convinced you can win, but in the end it's just, just barely not enough and you lose by the slimmest of margins. Your mentality is not in the best place, and now you go into his map pick again, down 0-2 with him holding all the cards. I hope some day we'll get a best of 7 rematch between the two, when TY has a better day than he had this time so they can go to game 7. Because that could be a truly sick TvT.

Considering his previous form in Ro16s, the skill level of Patience and Hurricane, and the fact that Stats is a macro orientated Protoss (without the same early game flair as other high-level protosses such as herO and Classic), I a do favour him to do well here. Even though he is tearing it up against Zerg very recently (although it's a little bit hard to qualify given SoO's unimpressive run against Terran and Dark's weakening late-game play) I'm pretty happy with this group and Gumiho's choice to give up Dark's offer for a house was hilarious.

Not like he played bad though. Rogue is really good and those roach/ravager timings are atrociously hard to hold with the way TY opened.

Rouge seems to be in excellent form so avoiding him (by coming first) for now might not be a bad thing, but both Byun and Innovation in the ro4 are tough prospects for completely different reasons. I think that TY's decision to scout each game was excellent today and should be praised. He is a better player when he does this and his macro was superior today. I can only imagine that these are connected and he is feeling comfortable and confident enough to give up a little mining, which could be a great sign of things to come.

Unfortunately, if TY beats Dark his Ro4 opponent will almost certainly be INnoVation. Who is a.....tough.....opponent, to say the very least. That 0-4 beatdown in the finals was brutal enough to watch, I can't imagine how it was like to play. And the worst thing about it was that TY actually played really well for the most part, sometimes better than Inno. He still got overwhelmed by Inno's raw mechanics. Like Tasteless said, TY might technically be the superior fighter but Inno is just two weight classes higher. Stronger. Faster. Better. But first things first, Dark is definitely no pushover.

Dark just steamrolled over Inno a week ago, and that's saying much to his ZvT... Should be great games

TY still hasn't dropped a group in LotV GSL, making it ten in a row. I would say he is LotV's greatest terran, maybe even greatest player.
